I paid £93 for bed only, no breakfast, which I suppose is fair enough for this part of the country. The room was adequate for purpose. 2 slightly annoying things: No TV remote control and one of the bedside lights was continually flashing on and off when I flicked the switch.
However the key thing that made my night unpleasant was some sort of party that was going on in the bar. Because it was a warm nighty window was open but also the external doors to the bar were open on to the car park. There was some sort of gathering or party in the bar that seemed to get its noisy zenith about 1.30am and I don't think it finished until about 3.30am. I can't be precise about the timing but the noise, laughter, stupidity and vacuous loud selfish foolishness went on into the early hours of the morning.
I work all over the country, regularly staying in hotels over the last 25 years. I have never ever had such a bad night's sleep. I raised the matter with the receptionist when I checked out in the morning. She apologised and told me that they had a number of complaints and that one guest left the hotel during the night!
So in summary, if you an arrogant, ignorant selfish loudmouth who wants to engage in unrestrained partying this is the place for you. If you are a person who civilised and has work to do the following day, try somewhere else.
