Friendly staff, nice size room with balcony, they changed sheets under request and always tidy and cleaned on our return back to hotel.

Me gustó mucho la ubicación del hotel, la playa queda a 15min caminando, tiene bastantes restaurantes y cafes cerca. Tienen solo dos lugares de parking en la calle pero quedas enfrente del hotel.

Basic but good value spotless hotel in a great location for seeing all the sights. Added bonus of a bus stop only a 3 minute walk away for a link to the airport. I would stay here again

The location in the historical centre is excellent. Soundproofing is poor between the rooms and from the corrridor. The WiFi was slow and kept goig on and off all the time. A good thing was the cafe of the hotel. I did not try the breakfast which was available because it was quite modest. It is better to choose your own breakfast.

Ok hotel. Breakfast is coffee and croissant or toasted bread so probably better to book room only. I was awakened at 6.15 by other guests shouting in the corridor

Great location, clean, very friendly staff
Loved the location as shopping, restaurants, bars , castle and beach are all within easy reach. Liked the little cafeteria at the bottom - lots of locals use it too. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Our family room was spacious with one double and two singles. Hotel is 2-star and therefor simply furnished so not something you want to book if you intend to spend a lot of time in the room except for sleeping which is why we booked it. Very powerful shower in the bathroom. Everything was very clean. Only downside - noisy at night which we expected. We stayed at end of October so can't comment on the usefulness of the air conditioning. We thought good value for money.

I liked that I had a single room which had a balcony. I would book that room again. Its very small but perfecy for me with the outside space.

The hotel is in a great location to transportation, the center and the beach. The room and bathroom were clean and functional, although there were some imperfections, Such as a not well fixed wall. The breakfast of a great coffee with toast w butter and jam ( my choice, as it’s a big baguette piece or bread) or croissant is included. There was a TV ( Spanish channels mostly) and a safe ( important!). My room had a balcony, which was sunny during the day. The hotel is in the center and could be noisy on fri-sat nights. The staff were nice and helpful , speaking enough English. WiFi worked well, except one evening, and I had to wait until morning for it to be fixed.

Handy little budget hotel, central location so easy for the old town and transport links. Always someone on reception to help. Building and room a little scruffy but clean and comfortable. Would recommend. Very reasonable rates early in the season.

Good location with very friendly and helpfull reception staff. Breakfast ok but not up to the 5€ charged. Pleasantly suprised at the amenities within the room. Good wifi throughout hotel

The staff was helpful. The bathroom soap dispenser ran out of soap after I arrived. The person at reception tried replacing it, but struggled to do so. The next day the cleaning staff replaced it, but no soap came out. They had to go get a fresh bag of liquid hand soap. Once the new soap was put in the dispenser, it took a few tries to get it out, but eventually soap came out. Also, the walls let sound come through, so that was somewhat of a problem.

Small room but OK for the relatively low price paid. Quiet at night but noisy in the early morning due to cleaners starting early and doors being slammed. Basic but good continental breakfast in the cafeteria. Good location at walking distance from the seafront.

we left the hotel and lost £200. rooms were filthy
bathroom black mould ceiling about to fall down massive crack and hole. room continually stunk of cigarettessomeone smoking. we left the hotel and rebooked another hotel. reception staff were told 'cant control other guests' worse than a youth hostel should not be listed. gross

Staff couldn't have been more helpful and the hotel is well situated close to the old town and train station. The sea front is also just down the hill.

Inexpensive, clean hotel in the centre of Alicante
Hotel Cervantes was really in a convenient location less than 15 minutes walk from the main train station and around the corner from the Plaza Luceros which has lots of restaurants and shopping. It's also very close to the Tourist Office and the Rambla which leads to the Esplanada de Espana and the Marina. Every is nearby for easy walking. The hotel staff were great, very helpful and friendly. The room was good given its rating (so no frills included) although I found the bed a bit lumpy and too soft for my taste so I didn't have a very restful sleep. But overall it was good value and I would stay here again.
