Just above the crazy fray of the town proper up a small 2 block hill. Great views from the roof top pool terrace! Room was comfy (although mattresses are the typical Portuguese spring hard beds that poke you in your sleep). The room was very good, water pressure in shower was good! Fridge in room was a nice bonus. Breakfast was underwhelming, but cheap and handy so there is that. Would stay again- although Albuferia is not exactly up our alley, it was a funny town to see once ;)

The pool area really needs renovations. Sun beds look really worn out. Staff were pleasant. Location wise is good, close to town center. Breakfast was somewhat poor, but it was quiet cheap (4.9€), so it's ok. The room smelled bad. It felt like it was some stinking desinfectant. The bed pretty old and mattresses requires replacement. My back was hurting after a night sleep. At night felt some bites and got some bite marks, which looks like bed bugs.

This is a terrible property. There are no plug points for charging, bathroom shower is leaky and floods the floor, bed is uncomfortable and the fire alarm went off at 3 AM for the entire property because some resident was smoking

Among the worst hotels
Among the worst hotels I have visited Good points are; good location. Clean bed sheets and clean towels. Negative points, very dirty room, cut toe nails on the floor, the shower was dirty and nasty, no hot water for 3 days, very noisy, I did not sleep one full night, could hear all the sex life, domestic dramas etc. in other rooms. Kettle but no coffee or tea, wardrobe without hangers, dressing table without a stole or chair, the pool is tiny and only space for a few people. You can find many much better hotels in Albufeira and to this price. I left before time, couldn’t take it any longer.

Good bathtub, water pressure, and hot water. Room safe was tiny, and didn’t work worth ****. Linens were clean but stank of the laundry detergent to the point of being overwhelming. The TV remote control was hidden in a drawer, the batteries had to be changed, and the TV service didn’t work. The next evening it was working, no one deigned to tell me. I had to discover it accidentally. No facecloths to speak of. Bath gel and shampoo in tiny plastic envelopes that necessitated the use of a Swiss Army knife to open. They were still fixing the pool deck tiles on opening day. There was plenty of seagull poop on the rooftop sun deck for all of the guests. I guess that being closed for all those months was a great burden, greater than the effort that they put in to prepare for opening day. There was zero introduction to the hotel facilities. I would not go back. There are too many other places.

Budget at price- not bad, not great! Good/lagom
not bad, but for the price... Coming from a city, location is great, if there is a free parking :) Overall felt a bit overpriced to be honest given you get not much more than at real economy places. Of course we only come here for shower and bed (and spend all the time on boats, beaches and restaurants), but you want that time to be comfortable even if dated. This was OK, but low on cleanness (not dirty, just not clean under bed and wardrobes), breakfast was so so, reception was really odd - a guy meeting us was amazing, i would have stayed to chat with him. whereas the lady when we checked out didn't manage to say thanks and goodbye...

Another good stay
Another lovely week staying at the Colina Do Mar. Breakfasts good, staff lovely. The only downside now is the newly opened bar next door which can make the area noisy late at night/early morning.

On the plus side: good value for price we paid. All facilities were super clean. Conveniently located, less than 10 min to the beach, only a few blocks from several terrific restaurants. Apprecited a small fridge and kettle plus cups in our room. Small roof top pool with loungers and umbrellas. Hot and cold breakfast, never left hungry. On the minus side: sent two emails prior to arrival which hotel never answered. Requested a quiet room when checking. in, yet were given a room right above hotel entrance where tourists were chatting loudly very late at night, in addition to the noise from a bar on the corner. Did not know what to make of this. Was this to spite us for daring to ask ? Also, we were booked for a room with an extra bed but it had only one. Did not complain because were worried to be put into a worse room.

Good Hotel and Facilities. Great Old Town location
Good 3* Hotel very well located for the Old Town & Marina & Beaches but in a quieter area for peaceful sleep. This hotel does not pretend to be somerhing it isn't. It may be dated and a bit tired in places but offers good basic but comfortable and clean accomodation with good service and very good breakfast choices (hot full english and cold selections). It is clean and the rooms are a good size with daily cleaning and towel changes. The swimming pool and sunbeds are a welcome bonus for a hotel in the Old Town area. For a 3* hotel we were pleased to have facilities in the room such as a good size fridge and tea/cofffee making, which is often more expected for 4* or 5* accomodation. You have to provide your own tea or coffee and milk but that's not a problem. Room also has good remote controlled aircon, Sat TV with numerous channels and free good strength wifi throughout the building/rooms/swimming pool area (we even connected up whilst using the Caribbean Bar next door). Toilettries and hairdryer also provided in the room plus a safe. (small daily charge for the safe). I would be happy to return based upon the hotel's fantastic location and good facilities. If you dont expect too much but simply want clean & comfortable accomodation with a good level of facilities in a great location then you wont be disappointed. All staff are helpful & English speaking. The Blue Supermarket just round the corner offers good prices for tea/coffee & beer/wine/soft drinks/milk to stock fridge.

Fantastic location, hotel always very clean, pool very nice. Evening reception man mutters under his breath in Portuguese when asked to do something - very rude, but nice when left alone and just saying hello and goodbye! Air conditioning was Veronica in our room, Took 3 days to get it fixed, couldn't fix it after 3 days so moved us to a different room. Could have done this on the first day - not even a fan was given to us to try keep the room cool
