Superb stay
This hotel is a hidden gem. Perfect location, quiet area. Easy parking. Only minutes away from all the activities at the beach. From the moment you walk in you’ll feel at home. Staff was very helpful. The room and towels were very clean. AC worked perfectly. Breakfast buffet was superb. Please try this hotel if you’re ever in the Carveiro area. I’ll come back for sure.

Great Stay!
Room is spacious and clean. The staff are very helpful, caring and friendly, especially at reception. Delicious burgers at the bar restaurant and enjoyed the variety at breakfast.

The staff were very helpful and friendly especially reception staff.excellent breakfasts and we had a lunch bar snack on our last day which was amazing.lovely large room and beds great.pool area great clean and well maintained quiet ideal for kids. The only downside was our doors onto balcony which needed replacing. We had a lovely time here.

The room was spacious and very comfortable, with large beds, a/c and renovated bathrooms. It was cleaned daily. The pool and bar/restaurant outside were lovely. The reception desk staff were friendly and helpful. It’s quite a healthy walk back from town, up a long steep hill. But if you have a car, you can park near the bottom of the hill to make it easier after a night out.

Staff was friendly. We had the meal plan that included breakfast and dinner - each day was a different buffet. Breakfasts offered hot and cold options, and the dinner had salad, warm entree selections, and desserts. Property was a short drive to pretty beaches, shopping, and more.

Friendly and homely!
We loved this small, welcoming hotel! Lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble, always friendly. Hotel was quiet when we stayed, with different nationalities- we often had the pool to ourselves. Only a small number of sunbeds, but always availability and nobody being difficult by putting towels on beds all day (maybe as hotel was quiet??) We didn't eat at the hotel, but the food from the bar area looked good...did have a number of cocktails which were excellent. The hotel does look a little tired in places externally but his didn't bother us, and it does feel very homely and relaxed. Our room was kept spotlessly clean, with fresh towels each day (they provide pool towels as well). The hotel is located in a quiet, mainly residential/ villa area, there's very little to do directly around, however it's a 10-15 min walk into town. The walk would not be for everyone....the area is quite hilly (especially the most direct route to town which we called cardiac hill)...we walk every day, so were OK with it, but it was a good workout even with a reasonably good level of fitness so not for the less energetic or less mobile. Carviero has some great eating places and fantastic walking/ rambling around the coastal caves. Very chilled, peaceful and an opportunity to recharge. If you're looking for simple relaxation then it is perfect-we will definitely go again. If you want a little more entertainment (or an easier walk) then head closer to town.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Cocktails were delicious and had a great deal. Very relaxing atmosphere. The view from the room wasn’t the best (parking lot) but it was a comfortable stay and being poolside was amazing.

An enjoyable stay in a nice complex
Atop a large Hill, this hotel was by far the best we'd stayed in. The facilities, room, bar and pool were all good. The hotel is c1km from the town centre, just be prepared for the walk.

Nice and quiet.
Some photos online of the rooms did not live up to expectation. The deluxe apartments were standard at best. It could do with an update. Having said that it was very clean,good WiFi, nice pool although a bit small. The staff are lovely,with little English but will get you what you need. The hotel is up a steep hill, we walked down to dinner in the center but had to get a taxi up, it’s only €5. The restaurants are excellent and there’s a great atmosphere down by the beach area every night with DJ’s playing. Carvoeiro is a fabulous place for a holiday, for couples and families.

Hotel is lovely and peaceful staff were all pleasant As others have already said the hotel is at the top of quite a steep hill, approx 1 mile from the centre but you can get a taxi from the square for 4 euros Pool was lovely, but I would imagine when busy there would be issues due to a lack of sun beds We had breakfast daily it was typical continental breakfast with enough to choose from In studio rooms, kitchen fairly basic, but we only wanted a fridge and kettle, so it was fine for I would definitely recommend hotel as long as you are ok with the hill

Quiet hotel
Nice quiet hotel at top of hill away from the Carvoeiro beach. Rooms and pool are great .Food pretty good and staff excellent.

Lovely peaceful hotel
Stayed for a week in October 2017 lovely hotel,so peaceful. Pool abit cold.....well very cold but hotel do supply towels for pool. Unless you like walking would need a car as at top of steep hill. Every member of staff I came across very friendly. Pool snacks fab didn't use restaurant but looked nice. Room we had 111 lovely huge bed,sofa,tv,dressing table,table and 2 chairs,plenty of wardrobe space,lovely bathroom and kitchen which had fridge,hob,microwave,kettle,toaster and plates etc. Patio had lovely ratten chairs and side table. Really can't fault it

Great location, short walk to town and beach, helpful and friendly staff. in process of modernisation, lovely new bathroom, but kitchenette needs updating, comfy bed, could do with a proper table to sit at for the self caterers. Would definitely go back. Pool area lovely and great for kids, not busy and very touristy as it's a smallish hotel.

Nice big rooms, bright and airy, A/C, newly fitted bathroom, new décor. Modernisation of the hotel is ongoing, but non-intrusive and will be a fantastic place to stay in 2018. around a1km to the beach (15 mins walk) but easy enough to reach. Would benefit from a gym so there are things to do when weather is poor.

Great value in a very nice beach area.
The Carvoeiro Hotel experience was a great value. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The location was very close to a few very nice beaches. And the price charged was very affordable. Staying at the Carvoeiro ended our trip in Portugal on a high note.
