After reading all the reviews on line we decided against staying here. The place sounds awful. The place we did stay was lovely and they have had guest stay who have walked out of the place and payed extra just to get away..

Hotel room was dirty no hand wash bearing in mind of the current corona virus pandemic happening!!! Reception was hardly there and when asked for extra bedding I didn’t get any.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL
Had booked 2 x family rooms through hotels.com for 1 night for 3rd August. Was phoned by OYO "customer service line" at 10:30am on the morning of the stay to be told that the rooms were no longer available due to "circumstances". I said this was strange as i had phoned the hotel the day before to confirm and all was okay. I phoned hotels.com who werent aware of this at all. I then asked my wife to phone the hotel direct and asked if they had any rooms available. Strangely, they had 2 x family rooms available for £125.00. I phoned OYO "customer service line" back and they told me that the Hotel was closed due to COVID. When i told them that this was a complete lie they got angry on the phone and said that this is what the hotel owner had told them. I decided to phone the hotel owner direct and explain all of the above. Got diverted to his mobile and he said he wasnt at the hotel until midday and hadnt told my wife he had 2 family rooms available and that our rooms were now cancelled. Reading the previous reviews, this clearly isnt the first time this has happened but i feel we may have dodged a bullet reading the reviews of the people that have recently stayed. Thankfully we hadnt left home but still 2 days family time at the beach ruined thanks to OYO who offered no apology. Hotels.com were no better offering no apology or no assistance with alternative accommodating. I will take this matter further and i will make sure that this "hotel" is exposed for what i truly is

Not as good as it looks on hotels.com
Was 2 hrs into a 3 hr journey to Skegness, received a text of oyo hotels saying a refund was going to returned to my bank,rang oyo customer service which was shocking to say least,the hotel was booked on free cancellation and pay on arrival, I checked my online banking and had the room price of £84 deducted from my account, spoke to 2 representatives from oyo but had no joy, so carried on to Skegness on arrival spoke to manager my booking wasn't even in there system, but I showed him my email confirmation of hotels.com, he offered my an alternative family room but not the one I booked but was glad to have a room after a 3 hour drive, the hotel wasn't anything like the photos on hotel.com the hotel was in need of some tlc outside and inside, we was given a room with 2 double beds instead of a double and 2 twin beds, that was fine like I said previously at least we had a bed for night,the manager was very good though and his staff was fine as well, it said on web site breakfast was available for £5 per person but I was told it wasn't available, we didn't spend much time there just slept there

I'd like to list everything but take too long so here is just a few. - Beds covered in piss stains - Red specks on the wall that honestly we thought was blood. - mould in the shower - stinks like damp and dead things I could go on please please don't book here

Really friendly staff, booked ins fright away, Weiss this hotel as we went to Skegness race way, not far from the track or city centre, rooms really clean. Breakfast was huge and well worth the money. Only downside was the main door was hanging slightly in room, reported it but it didn’t get fixed. Other then that no issues and a great service.

Filth beyond words!!!
The toilet was mining, Under the seat was disgusting? We had to buy bleach and sanitize the toilet before we could use it. The sink was so dirty and it had dust in it!!! The toilet handle was not working without a lot of effort, The carpets were filthy from the door in? The kettle had to be plugged in while sitting on the floor as the electric sockets were skirting board level and the flex would not reach. We did not make tea we just used the kettle to sanitize the toilet. Should we have wanted tea there were no cups.

Unfortunately the stairs up to the room were very steep so not good for someone with mobility issues. Staff lovely. Didn't have a shower even though we booked a room with a shower.

Tired Hotel., the facilities were very poor... Bathroom had no towel rail, very old and used. The bedroom had no extra,s i.e no side tables, no chairs, no remote for the television. Overlooked the greasy fans from the kitchen.

The hotel room was quite run down and I could not believe I was asked to leave credit card details in case of any damage caused. Considering I stayed for 3 nights the room was not cleaned once. Breakfast was included but not served before 8am which to most people working away can be a problem, the good thing about the hotel was the member of staff who advised me where I could get a good breakfast close to where I was working. I do take in to account that for the time of year the area was like a ghost town. But if away for a few nights in this area again I will book 1 night at a time.

Good morning Peter I'm sorry that you find leaving your details an issue but we ask this of every visitor wether it's a one night stay or a week's stay, due to damage being done to the Hotel by visitor's we have had to add a little bit more safety precaution but rest assured your detail's have been shredded. It states on our booking paperwork that once the key is given to the customer, no member of our staff will enter the room, we ask the visitor to allow us to enter to house keep the room by letting us know you give your permission to go in, again this is a safe guard we have adapted and rules of the Hotel, as for breakfast we offer quite a leisurely breakfast as the majority of our visitors are holiday makers not particularly business people but if you had requested an early breakfast, that would have been taken care of for you, unfortunately we are not to know the reason for everyone's stay unless they tell us.. Apologies for your unpleasant experience here at The Link's Hotel

Shame about the bed and mattress.
The staff were amazing and so was the food, however the bed and mattress was very creaky and loud, so i didnt sleep properly for the whole visit. Also even though the hole in the wall was explained to me, it didn't look good, and could be really be covered up.

Needs updating and un organised
First the check in was hard work , they asked us for payment when we had already paid over the internet, the lady then went on moaning about how long she was at work that night and it was going to be loud due to the music in the bar. We later found that a wedding had booked the bar area so when we went for a drink we had to sit at dirty tables covered in drink, sweets and food, we felt awkward! The Room was grubby and in need of updating, The carpet needed a clean, the single bed had holes in the side and the bathroom had a bath and no shower, so the 3 of us had to fill the bath up 3 times so we could all wash. The bath also needed re-sealing. The 2 wooden windows wouldn’t close properly and were drafty . Then breakfast was at 8-10am We went for breakfast at 8.15 and was told we would have to wait 5 mins,we get asked to go up and we asked for eggs and told they would be another 5 minuets,!! Very un organised !!

We stayed overnight as there were 8 of us golfing at nearby Seacroft. The hotel is basic but fulfilled our needs. The bar had a good selection of beers and lagers. The food was very good and plentiful. The rooms need updating as they are quite basic.

Lovely staff. Food mediocre and the room and overall hotel is incredibly run down and dirty. I wouldn’t stay here again. Carpets filthy, hole in the bedroom wall, stains on everything. Not enjoyable at all.

There was a wedding reception taking place the night we stayed and we felt we were intruding. We have heard a lot about the quality and quantity of the food served here, all good may I add, but didn't get the opportunity to try any. We were slightly disappointed with the room as we have stayed in better for less money.

Very disappointing stay, not worth the money.
We booked here for one night as we're visiting Fantasy Island with our Son for the Saturday, if we had had time to look for another hotel we would. Upon arrival we were advised that even though we had already paid we had to leave our debit card details in the event of damages. NEver heard of this before and we were then told they had some unsavoury 'drunk' guests before what threw rocks at windows and fire extinguishers, This was certainly not we expect to be greeted with before having seen the room, upon arrival. We then went to the room and this had not been hoovered but upon mentionjng this further this was quickly cleaned.Wallpaper was pasted over wallpaper in the room, overall very dated. The bedding was however very clean although the shower screen was black on the inside, and paint peeling off skirting boards, sills in bathroom. We made the decision to stay out all day to enjoy our time at Fantasy Island but otherwise would not have stayed as didn't want to disappoint our Son. The staff were friendly enough but being told that they were not responsible for guests' actions I.e., being drunk didn't really instill us with confidence or make us feel comfortable.Would not stay here again.

The restaurant for evening meals are outstanding. I chose sea bass , it was excellant Many non residents have an evening meal at this hotel, much better than restaurants in surrounding Skegness.

Short Break
Stayed here in a triple room from Monday - Thursday, 3 nights. Rooms plenty big enough for the 3 of us, bathroom big too. Just needs a bit of updating and tidying up. For what we paid though with a breakfast included, it was good value. Plenty of car parking space and the food in the pub looked lovely. It was also popular so it must have been good! Can't fault the friendliness of the staff, very helpful. Housekeeping don't come in every day unless you request it, but you only need to ask for clean towels or bins emptying and it was done no problem. Just needs a bit of an update and TLC on the decor.

Nice sized hotel, good location.
Nice sized hotel in a good location. Close enough to town but far enough away from crowds. Rooms basic and twin room beds very uncomfortable. Shower terrible as barely as no power at all, water came out as a dribble. We stayed on a Saturday night and we warned that karaoke is on in the bar below till midnight. Despite there being only 6 people in the bar it went on much later. Breakfast ok if you want a full english but no other choice and only got the option of scrambled eggs. Overall disappointing.
