Staff was great and breakfast was delicious Cleanliness was disappointing not matched the value of money taken, room service working only till 5 pm!! Welcome drink in the lobby and dessert in the room was terrible price is very high for the services provided specially cleaning space of room isn't matching to the ones on Expedia, very small room and space isn't as mentioned on Expedia Valet service representative isn't available all the time specially at night (9- 12 am) and parking entrance is very far away than the hotel you need to take your car to the parking by your self and streets are very narrow, busy and not easy to walk through to reach the parking area No flowers in the room or air freshener, toilets are not cleaned well and disinfectants used smell so bad, soap, shampoo and shower gel smell aweful and bed sheets are veey clean but detergents aren't smell good or fresh and sheets aren't changed everyday no Iron or table in the room, no slippers or bathrobes available in the room, dust is very clear on bed wall tips , AC opening and TV remote and floor sides as well. the best things there is Staff , breakfast and sea view.

The location of the hotel is excellent overlooking the sea. The hotel is renovated. The check in was smooth and rapid. All the staff were friendly , very polite and willing to help. The room view over the sea is wonderful. the room is clean, tidy and comfortable, even if it is a little bit small. Breakfast is more than excellent, very wide variety and delicious. During or check out, as a compliment they gave us 2 bottles of water and 2 juice bottles.Highly recommend the hotel and I enjoyed my stay and will stay again.

It was good. The location and the view is excellent. The hotel is under renovations. No heating air condition in the room. When I complained they placed an oil heater in the room.

Good Hotel to stay
It is a nice hotel. Near to Stanley Bridge. Breakfast is fantastic and lot of options available. However, room and bathroom is very small like of a 3* IBIS hotel. Prices are very high and NOT justifying for this small room.

Would recommend this Hotel on Corniche in Alexandr
Nice hotel just past Stanley Bridge. Undergoing some renovations in the reception area this trip. Nice bar and has a nightclub downstairs. Room has good sea views. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good selection for breakfast buffet. Anyone coming to Alexandria should download Careem App for taxis, very good service and cheap.

I resevered single bed(queen size) but i used a tween bed. Hotel Manager said, “we have no single bed in room. I can not understand, why expedia and hotel is a defferent situation.

How hotels change with change of management
Last week I spent one night at hotel Romance(ex.mercure),I won’t comment on the structure where u have to drive across 2 streets at the back of the hotel to reach the back door of the hotel to park and find urself all of a sudden at the 3rd door climbing stairs with no elevators (thank god i left my luggage at the front before I go to park my car). All the personnel are efficient and friendly,rooms are clean and tidy with its basic amenities, but the level of the hotel dropped dramatically with a night club and loud music that u can hear every where with a standard of customers that shouldn’t belong to such a place. Although there are cameras everywhere, this is the type of place that the first thing that comes to your mind when u get into your room is to lock your door and find a piece of furniture to put behind. To summarize, a fairly good place with a lot of signs of the old chain , good personnel but a lousy atmosphere and degrading outlets and clientele.

Romance Alexandria Hotel
The stay was excellent. Although there is a lot of road noise when in a room on the Cornish side, it is in a beautiful and ideal location.

Lovely views and location, friendly staff, excellent housekeeping Nadia looked after me and helped with all my queries to make my stay a comfortable one.. I had a wonderful stay, thank you staff at Romance. Great value for money, I would definitely go back.

Needs a lot of work
The best things about the hotel were the views from the room and the friendly staff. The noise from the road could easily be heard and the rooms required maintenance. The breakfast buffet was pretty, but the taste was horrible. Needs improvement.
