Very comfortable spacious room. A little noisy from a busy neighbouring bar and loud passers by in the early hours! One criticism is lack of USB charging facilities - though reception were able to loan an adapter.

A great stay - lovely large room with stunning views & friendly service. We visited during storm Kathleen so it was very windy. Possibly the balcony doors need checking as the wind whistled through quite loudly - room 411. We ate in the restaurant - we had breakfast & Sunday roast - both of which were really good. Thank you!

We stayed here for one night over Easter break. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left was a wonderful experience! The staff were extremely helpful and the service was exceptional! We had the afternoon tea experience at Salthouse and the food selection was amazing. Even my fiancée who isn’t an afternoon tea person was impressed! If we didn’t already have dinner reservations elsewhere we would have happily booked dinner at the restaurant as the food was top notch. The room we had was just perfect for us. Spacious and comfy, with wonderful features of the building shown throughout. We would definitely be back again! Thanks again to the wonderful staff !

Very quirky interior . Excellent staff, very professional , polite and friendly . The food in the restaurant was fabulous and reasonably priced. The marina was nice but nothing special about Ipswich town centre.

As excellent as always but Restaurant menu rehash
As excellent as always. Returning again to my place from home. Thanks for always taking care of me. Could do with a change up of restaurant menu, offering more options at a more competitive price. Maybe some basics that aren't all sauce based or rich, as many people can't digest such rich food.

The hotel is a beautifully converted Salthouse. It has modern amenities but has maintained the old character of the building. The staff were excellent; very friendly and efficient. I would definitely stay there the next time I'm in Ipswich.

The beds need thicker mattress pads to hide the buttons in the mattresses. Everything else was perfect. Lovely helpful staff

Anniversary break
We stayed 3 nights, i broke my toe getting out of the shower as its high, i didnt realise it till that night when i took my boot off i asked reception for some surgical tape which i got and told girl on there id done it before so i knew to tape the 2 toes together. My husband mentioned it to a manager in passing when he was at the bar and he said " she did it before didnt she?" , he didnt bother come over to me or ask how i was and it was not put in the accident book either, this in my opinion is very unprofessional and poor management , its not cheap in there and we paid top notch so expect a bit more courtesy even if he didnt care. I did say something when we checked out and the girl was also surprised at this . Disappointing to say the least .

Nice hotel in good location, very nice rooms, easy free parking looked after by concierge. Very friendly and helpful staff. Shame that upon arrival receptionist asks if you would like to purchase an upgraded room instead of automatic upgrades being given where available.

Location right on marina with access to multiple restaurants and pubs, and a great view. Hotel food is first class all the way, and the bar is excellent. Service is top notch. I have done a lot of traveling in my life- this is my favorite hotel.

Great pet friendly hotel
Great pet friendly hotel. Very modern, spacious and comfortable room. My only observation was that there was no means to regulate room temperature, either up or down. It was good that it was a typical British summer and wasn’t too hot.

Pleasant stay, room a bit smaller than anticipated but comfortable. We thought it perhaps a little overpriced. We had a Marina view room with small balcony, lovely outlook.

We always love staying at the Salthouse. Our stay was superb, as always. Staff are great, and really glad parking seems to be a lot better now by having staff park your car in an overflow car park for you

I'll be back, as can't beat your Harbour views
Lovely stay and always good to come back to this marvellous hotel. Locals state it as the best hotel in Ipswich, and I have a mind to agree. Only thing that would have made it better this time was a complimentary upgrade and the £10 beverage credit being given - I did as the receptionist, and she stated it was, but from the invoice, it was obvious it had not been. But, I'll be back, as can't beat your Harbour views and quality of service.

Great Location, Lovely Hotel, Overpiced
Had a wedding reception at Isaacs next door so took the opportunity to stay at this lovely hotel. Whilst the common areas are very well kept, the room left a bit to be desired. Looked tired and dirty in places and the bathroom leaked water into the room itself. Would have been fantastic at a £150-£180 price point but at well in excess of £200 not including breakfast this is way too expensive.

Best in Ipswich, fab staff
Service of the staff was fantastic, best i've had in UK for sometime. rooms were OK, could do with Air-Con, you'd expect it for the prices charged. nice location. Art and decor inside the hotel is cheap, interior designer went on a horrific shopping spree.
