My husband and myself booked a 2x Q queen room on the courtyard for the pool. We live in Placitas, but wanted a nice inclusive vacation spot. A place to go and stay and not worry about food or anything. And to be fair that is exactly what this place is. Tamaya Resort offers large rooms, comfortable common spaces, multiple swimming pools (Ill touch more on this) and some classes and activities. The free activities are pool & sports equipment like basketball & tennis, the bicycle rack & trails, and the smores.
So starting with the pool. The pool is managed by the pool guard shack and a couple employees. One of which named Prince is AMAZING Btw and very helpful and kind. The splash pad / kids pool was closed all weekend. As a pool certified myself I was curious for what reason, because the person skimming it kept promising it would open, only to come back from hour to hour to hour only to find him standing there vacuuming the same spot. I wish I could say I am exaggerating. Our daughter was very disappointed. This was why we went mostly as I listed the free activities are nice, but the pool is the BIG selling point.
The first night we were there the neighboring room screamed and partied and made so much noise, the security came out. But the noise persisted until sometime at 4 am. Only to be awakened at 6 am by the partiers alarm, which they would not turn off for 30 min Sat. We just got up early and went to the breakfast buffet and spent $100 on an nice enough buffet. Nothing to
