Very spacious room with kitchenette. Friendly and attentive staff - helped me out when I needed to make an emergency international call. Very nice place to stay.

With a car, it's really close to the center of Mariehamn, rather basic but all the important stuff is at a decent level, the staff is friendly and helpful. A bit better cleaning and some renovation would strengthen a generally positive feeling.

Very basic place to sleep in very silent and quiet surroundings. Nothing to do in the area and you definitely need a car. Very basic breakfast. Everything is clean and very well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful. This place seems to be a place that provides long term accommodation to workers and business people. You dont find any activities or amenities around.

The rooms are basic but clean and well maintained. The only thing lacking was some form of airhandling, even just a small fan, to deal with the stagnant heat during the heatwave I experienced. Breakfast is simple but very nice. Being at the far end of the hotel, the WiFi was very intermittent.

Strandnäs Hotell Mariehamn, Aland
This is a basic hotel and the price reflects this. It is about a 3km walk to the town of Mariehamn. The rooms are not air-conditioned. There is a small cafe next door and outside seating. OK if you are out all day visiting the local area but you will need a taxi to enjoy the night life in Mariehamn.

Great find!
From the first meeting of the manager, I was impressed with the hotel and service! I arrived at 11 am and she gave me my room right away. She also asked if I would like a sandwich, and prepared me a beautiful tray with sandwiches, tea, and cookies! The room and public rooms were attractive and extremely clean. The hotel is about 2 Kms. from the city centre.

Nice, clean hotel.
Very pleasant stay and extremely helpful staff. The location is a bit out of the way if you arrive by boat, so best for those who bring a car.

Hotelli oli pääosin siisti ja huonekalut olivat hyväkuntoisia. Talvikaudella käyttämättä olleet viemärit haisivat ja suihkun kaakelit kaipaisivat uusimista. Palvelu oli erittäin avuliasta ja palvelua sai suomeksi!

Thankfully we rented a car during our 3-night stays in Åland. This hotel isn’t located in city center. It’s a walking distance to city center where’s cafes, restaurants, etc. For us, it is not possible to have a nice walk to get to center, since the roads are rather like highways so there’s nothing to enjoy along the way. Bicycling perhaps doable and OK, only in good weather condition. Hotel staffs are friendly, room is clean, hotel is in quite area. There’s a common kitchen where is microwave, water boiler, refridge, etc. To get a taxi is easy. There are some transportation companies in the town.

Enkelt och passande för större grupper
Hotellet passar väldigt bra för grupper ex vis idrottsgrupper som är på match eller turnering. Självhushåll är möjligt och det finns bra gemensamhetsutrymmen för umgänge. Rummet som vi hade var enkelt men rent och prydligt. Frukosten är enkel och när vi var där så hade yoghurten tagit slut så det fanns enbart mjölk. Personalen är vänlig och hjälpsam.

Das Hotel liegt ca 2km vom Zentrum. Zimmer haben kein Flair eines Hotels. Es war zwar alles was man brauchte vorhanden, aber die Einrichtung war nüchtern. Frühstücksbuffet machte dieses Defizit wieder wett. Zimmer sehr ruhig. Leider kein einziges deutschsprachiges TV Programm. Für den heutigen Zeitpunkt ein NO-GO. Personal freundlich und kompetent.
