Close to the beach

It was nice enough and a good deal. The food was good for the most part, but the high end restaurants were nothing special.

An Okay place to stay

It took a few days to get our room up to standards. My daughter said she felt like we were living in a zoo because of the birds eating with us and the spider monkeys running around. Let's not forget the iguanas and mosquitoes. Putting all of that aside,we loved it.

Def not a 5 star hotel

I would be extremely generous to give this resort 3 stars. You're not even allowed to throw toilet paper in the toilet!! Food sucked, buffet restaurant was only halfway air conditioned, customer service sucked and the beach was disgusting. It was super dirty and had rocks and seaweed everywhere. The only reason I'm giving this resort any stars is because on my last day there I learned that u could upgrade for $15/day to use the luxury facilities at Akumal where food was delicious and beach was amazing. That was the only good day we had there. The water park at coba was nice but super dangerous. It definitely was not designed by American safety standards that I'm used to. Thank god I didn't let my daughter go down the slides on her own. I had cuts and scrapes and bruises every where. Pools were nice and clean and night time entertainment was great!!! The light show was our favorite and we would actually pay money to see it. Also the shuttles were great for moving around the different sister resorts. Those guys were super helpful and nice. In conclusion, stay at Akumal for the best time ever. Coba and Tulum are 3 star resorts at best.

Beautiful big property

Check in took forever front desk personnel does not speak good English. One day we had a power problem power was on and off for the whole day, it was very annoying to call front desk and ask them to come to fix it since we came with little kids and the room was getting hot very quickly. Also restaurants are available only for half nights of your stay. Very hard to book at the only available reservation time was 10 or 10:30pm which is kind of late when you vacation with little kids. Food was ok, service at the buffet was horrible... waitresses are not interesting into serving you at all.

Beautiful jungle properties.

There are no ocean view rooms. Some employees have very bad attitude, very rude and not professional. There are no waitresses that offer you drinks when you on the beach or by the pool. When we sat down to eat at the buffet we had to look for waitress to ask for a glass of water or soft drink. No room service. Internet and room locker are extra chargers. Will not go back or recommend this hotel to my friends.

Beachfront amazing hotel!

Pros: The beaches have a barrier that keeps the waves from knocking you over. You can drag your chair and your drink and watch the sunset.
Location: There are plenty of places nearby like Tulum, Akumal and theme parks. All within 20 minutes. See the city!
Absolutely amazing hotel. The location, the food, the people, THE BEACH! You have endless options and will not be disappointed. If you're staying in Tulum check out the beach behind the Dolphins. You won't ever want to leave.

Great LOOKING Place

Lets start from our first day. Well the welcoming staff was not very welcoming. We were not advised of hospitality suite...we basically had to ask 3 different maintenance people and not offered storage of our small belongings until I went back AGAIN and asked the lobby if they could store/direct to where they could. Jacqueline was very nice and directed us to lockers. Alberto from the gym/locker room on the other hand was rude we said hi and hola, he ignored us and pointed to his clipboard with a pen. Was very short and not friendly at all! yoir luggage will stay out in front of lobby with practically no supervision. We got into our bags twice no one ever looked at us or asked to see our bag ticket. It rained, bags got wet. Breakfast was a joke every single day of our 5 day stay. The food at the breakfast buffet was the worst I have ever had at any hotel in the Mayan Riviera and other Mexican Resorts. The snack bars are average. Bartenders are all very nice. Special shout out to Noe ( I hope to get his name right, he was at the big bar close to the beach) he made a strawberry michelada that was so good! Dinner at the buffet (same place as breakfast) was disappointing to say the least even my children gave it a thumbs down! We were only able to make two reservations to their a la carte restaurant at a time suitable for our family. They wanted to offer us dinner reservations at 10pm and 10:30 pm for the other days... way too late for us. We had dinner at Mikado Loved Jorge!
