Traditionally, in this region of Aragón, farms consist of several houses where their adjoining lands and remote from the urban center of the village are known under the term 'torres'. We spent the first day in Zaragoza, and drove out to the place late that afternoon. Bring your own food and wine -- there is not really anyplace near by to shop or eat. Besides, the garden, overlooking olive groves and wine caves, is too pleasant to not eat in. Our friendly host brought us food from his garden (it was late September). Attention toutefois, nous avions demandé 3 chambres sur le site, et en fait il y a 3 lits, mais 2 chambres. Il est toutefois aussi possible de dormir dans la pièce principale sur un canapé lit. El jardín es muy grande e invita a pasear, incluye una zona donde el dueño tiene animales: patos, conejos, gallinas.. y un huerto, es perfecta para ir con niños. Hemos ido unos días en julio y la piscina y la barbacoa nos han dado mucho juego con nuestros hijos adolescentes de forma que no hemos tenido necesidad de hacer muchos planes fuera de la casa. Es una zona que sorprende, está llena de pueblos bonitos cargados de historia para visitar y bodegas, es una zona muy conocida por sus vinos. We felt very grand roaming the house and grounds. The house is full of antiques and beautiful paintings by the owner. We stayed in the main house and it could have held at least 8 people! Le soir de notre arrivée, mon mari et nos deux adolescentes souhaitions sortir et dîner en ville, Severino (le propriétaire) nous a conduit au centre du village pour nous indiquer l'un des meilleurs restaurant à tapas. Nous nous y sommes effectivement régalés, (avec un très bon rapport qualité-prix); c'est pour cela d'ailleurs, que nous y sommes même retournés les jours suivants... Le village d'Ainzon comporte tous les petits commerces nécessaires et les villages aux alentours sont charmants à visiter. En ce qui concerne la maison, la visite nous a permis de voir et apprécier tout l'équipement (électro-ménagé, et cuisine toute équipée+ draps et serviettes de toilette fournies), avec en cadeau de bienvenue: une petite bouteille d'huile d'olive délicieuse de la production familiale... La maison est spacieuse, avec de belles grandes pièces, et la décoration identique aux photos du site a été à la hauteur de notre attente, de par son style choisi et la richesse de son mobilier. La terrasse privative, au dessus du parc est idéalement exposée avec meubles de jardin et parasol pour les repas. Cette grande demeure est divisée en deux gîtes bien distincts et sans aucune gêne, car séparées par une partie du bâtiment non occupée. Le parc réserve de multiples petits coins de verdure au charme ancien, qui nous fait voyager à travers le temps... On y découvre un charmant bassin de poissons rouges surmonter d'une ancienne statue, après avoir descendu un bel escalier sous une tonnelle de rosiers, pour y rejoindre plus loin un petit enclos où les paons côtoient canards et petites poules, avant de se retrouver à l'endroit du "barbecue" avec table et chaises disposées sous une pergola ombragée. Un grand potager regorgeant de: tomates, courgettes, aubergines et piments est mis à disposition des hôtes pour le plus grand bonheur gustatif des petits et grands...merci pour cette intention! Une belle surprise nous a été annoncée dès notre arrivée: une petite piscine hors-sol a été installée dans un nouvel espace avec transats et banc, parfait pour se rafraîchir durant tout notre séjour, nos filles étaient ravies et nous aussi. The location was peaceful and the apartment was comfortable and decorated beautifully. We enjoyed strolling around the grounds and seeing the chickens, ducks, geese, and peacocks. The formal gardens have seen better days, but they are still delightful. Our host was most kind and accommodating. ##### Eileen B.
