WiFi didn't work for us in our room----had to go to reception to do our work on-line. Very friendly and helpful staff and quiet room made up for it.

Hotel with unique charm
Wonderful hotel with character and great staff. Excellent pool with extremely comfy sunbeds. Ate in hotel for both nights of our stay. Good food & reasonably priced. Could pick from a menu instead of having to have a set priced meal. Only negative was the noisy plumbing probably due to age of hotel.

Hotel Palocla-a hidden gem
The hotel is not located in a town but in the countryside surrounded by an orange grove. We enjoyed this but it does make it more difficult to go out for a late dinner away from the hotel. Having said that, their restaurant was very good and the service was wonderful. We had a great room with a view over the front courtyard. It was large, clean and quiet. (However as a disclaimer, the hotel wasn't full so the noise issue may be different in high season.)There is a pool onsite but as it was January, it wasn't open.

Great location
Really excellent pool and good supper. Very nice staff. Sadly our room was at the front by the road, so a bit noisy in the morning from 5.30 a.m. onwards. One or two items (Loo seat hinge and shower rose attachment etc) broken, but really excellent apart from these minor things.

A peaceful retreat
Stayed at villa Palocla after 6 days in Rome and Catania, it was the perfect contrast. Villa Palocla is 3km out of Scaicca. The grounds and pool are well maintained. Food is excellent and reasonably priced so no need to drive into Scaicca. The rooms are quaint if a little dark. Service from the owner down was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. There are 2 beaches within 20mins drive. We preferred lido Fiora on the way to Porto Palo, 2km of soft white sand. If your looking for a countryside retreat yet only 20 mins from a beach or lively town, this place is for you. We loved it so much we extended our stay!

Off the beaten track but worth the trek!!
Lovely place. Obviously a labour of love for the owners. Just stayed the one night en route to our final destination but such a pleasant stay. Staff and management were so attentive and efficient. Early morning swim in the beautiful pool was wonderful!

Fabulous classical italian style with added luxury
This hotel is an absolute gem. It is a beautiful reclaimed villa, wonderfully decorated in typical classical italian style with hand painted ceilings. There is a generous infinity pool with comfortable sunbeds and ample unbrellas. The staff were very accomodating and the food was excellent. However you definitely need a car as it is in the middle of nowhere!

Schöne Villa aber mit großen Abstrichen!
Villa Palocla ist ein schönes repräsentatives Landhaus , allerdings ist das gesamte Anwesen regelrecht mit Sperrmüll zugestellt. Es wird in erster Linie für größere Feste am Abend genutzt, was unter Umständen die Nachtruhe ziemlich einschränkt. Das Frühstück lässt manche Wünsche offen, alles in allem schöne Villa, aber leider wenig Stil und Service.

A misura d'uomo.
Personale gentilissimo, ottimo il ristorante. La struttura dimostra la sua età e meriterebbe qualche "ritocco, ma nel complesso è assolutamente consigliata. Non capita tutti i giorni di soggiornare in una vera struttura siciliana e non c'è paragone, almeno per me, con gli hotel anonimi, a 4 stelle, uguali in tutto il mondo.

Bella piscina, ottimo servizio struttura in po' datata. Nel complesso bel posto immerso nel verde a pochi minuti di macchina dalle spiagge e dal centro.

Hotel piacevole con piscina , un giardino fiorito e ricco di alberi di agrumi , ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo , struttura ben restaurata , mobili un po' vecchi e colazione con le solite brioche surgelate e scaldate al momento immangiabili . In una terra di dolci si può accedere a molte altre scelte di dolci con mandorle senza dover ricorrere a finte brioche . Personale gentile . Buona la pulizia

1 dag vroeger vertrokken omdat het zwembad 2 van de 3 dagen niet beschikbaar was. S ochtends zwemles voor kinderen uit de buurt (hotelgasten kunnen niet in zwembad) ; na de middag bereidt men trouwfeest voor. (Brug in zwembad gebouwd). Overal worden stoelen en tafels opgestapeld voor allerlei andere activiteiten. Als hotelgast kom je op de laatste plaats. We reizen heel vaak. Nog nooit heb ik een hotel zo slecht gewaardeerd. Hoe dit hotel aan hun waarderingscijfer komt, is mij een raadsel. De reviews zijn ook helemaal niet recent. Ontbijt oké maar niet fantastisch. Kamer redelijk.

Anwesen mit Orangenplantage und Pool
Etwas außerhalb gelegen bietet das Hotel eine gute Ausgangsbasis zur Besichtigung von Agrigent und Selinunte. Strandbesuche sind ebenso möglich und in Sciacca gibt es leckeres Eis. Das Hotel selbst ist italienisch gut ausgestattet, der Pool sauber und das Frühstück keine Offenbarung aber für italienische Verhältnisse o.k. Abends kann man gut im Restaurant essen. Qualität und Service stimmen.

Villa Palocla är en fantastisk liten oas i ett annat ganska ocharmigt område intill motorvägen. Vi blev guidade upp till rummet av två ur personalen; en insisterade på att få bära väskorna och den andra bar ett fat med färsk frukt. Vi spontanbokade en natt på genomresa under vår bröllopsresa och önskar att vi hade kunnat stanna längre. Åt middag på hotellet, mycket gott och rimliga priser. Ordentlig vinlista. Mysigt rum med superfräscht badrum!

Une hacienda au cadre agréable et soigné
Située dans un quartier éloigné et sans intérêt, cette "hacienda" est très agréable. Son jardin, sa piscine et son patio sont idéaux pour se détendre, se reposer, profiter du soleil et prendre son temps. Les chambres mériteraient quelques améliorations mais sont globalement propres et agréables. Le restaurant est de bon niveau et correct en prix. Dommage néanmoins qu'il n'y ait pas de desserts à la hauteur. Le petit déjeuner est assez bien garni et le service agréable. Une bonne adresse en Sicile avec un rapport qualité/prix intéresssant.

Il a été difficile de trouver la direction de l'hôtel. Heureusement le pompiste de la station service à la sortie de Sciacca nous a renseigné car notre GPS ne le reconnaissait pas. C'est un endroit très calme. Il y a eu le soir un repas de famille dans le patio et nous n'avons pas été gêné par le bruit. c'est un très bel endroit avec des orangers et une grande piscine débordante illuminée le soir. Le repas était parfait et le serveur d'une grande gentillesse. La chambre ainsi que la salle de bain étaient petites. Nous n'avions pas de bureau. La wifi ne marchait pas très bien dans la chambre.

Sjovt at prøve. En skøn bygning med de fineste dekorationer og indretning med gamle møbler. En dejlig pool. Maden er god. En skam at morgenmaden ikke serveres i de hyggeligste lokaler eller gården. Bed om et værelse mod poolen, de er lidt større. Kort afstand til fine strande, Fiori-Menfi er fin. Kort afstand til Scicca som er smuk og har meget at byde på.

Nettes Hotel etwas Außerhalb der Stadt.
Die Villa Palocla ist ein sehr schönes, kleines Hotel etwas außerhalb der Stadt Sciacca. Die Zimmer sind schön und liebevoll gestaltet, die nachträglich eingebauten Bäder sind allerdings sehr klein aber ausreichend. Das angeschlossene Restaurant ist ausgezeichnet, das Frühstücksbuffet ist gut.

sehr schön renoviertes Haus
Zwei Nächte, haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Hochzeit am 2. Tag war für Gäste störend und Pool nicht nutzbar.

Meer verwacht!
Het hotel geeft zichzelf 4 sterren, maar eigenlijk is dit ver te hoog gegrepen en schept dit vooral foute verwachtingen. Het hotel zou zich beter positioneren als 3 sterren hotel of als B&B. De eigenaar is aanwezig en is zeer vriendelijk, behulpzaam, niveau, spreekt goed Engels. We hadden echter de indruk dat hij zich niet echt omringt met mensen die dezelfde standaard nastreven; bvb in het restaurant, grote kaart...veel diepvries, maar helaas geen hoge kwaliteit in vgl met andere 4 sterren zaken in Sicilie en zelfs een uitschuiver die we je willen besparen. De kamer is ok, de badkamer is helaas zeer klein en de douche is van inferieure materialen; schimmel inbegrepen. Het zwembad was nog dicht (eind mei), wat ook spijtig was. Wij hadden dit hotel gekozen op basis van Tripadvisor, maar helaas kunnen wij het enthousiasme rond deze zaak niet delen. Prijs-kwaliteit echter mogen we niet klagen; voor ons was het ook slechts een tussenstop. We onthouden ook de vriendelijke eigenaars die helaas niet alles alleen kan doen.

Hotel non adatto a chi viaggia per lavoro, camera e bagno piccoli e senza un desk su cui lavorare, wifi non funzionante. Di contro, per chi può, è dotato di un bellissimo giardino con piscina di buone dimensioni.
