I used this as a base camp to go hiking in Acadia NP, and it was perfect for that, but I also could have spent my entire two days at the property and been very content. As it was, I slept deeply on my air mattress in the loft and watched the beautiful sunrises while sitting at the shore and while eating breakfast at the table inside. On the second morning, I also explored the entire lake with the host's canoe. It was quiet and serene, listening to a pair of loons that I was able to see up close while paddling. I took a short, refreshing dip in the clear water of the lake. I was there mid-week in the shoulder season, so maybe I got lucky, but I had the entire lake to myself.If I'd been staying longer, I might have wanted the ability to lock the cabin. I did have an orb weaver spider join me in the port-o-john, but I left it alone and it did me the same courtesy. Really the biggest issue was finding and getting there. Google gave me a location for the address that wasn't even on the correct lane. I arrived after dark and the long driveway and lack of signage made it hard for me to know if I was going the right way or going to end up at someone else's house. I bumped into some tree stumps that were hard to see in the dark. Upon leaving the property, the big SUV I was driving, a VW Atlas Crossfire, had issues with the loose rock and spun its tires going up the small hill close to the road. Overall, I highly recommend it and hope I can return!" This house was one of the most well thought out, with comfortable furnishings in good condition, beautiful harbor views, and a well equipped kitchen which is as big as it looks in the photos. It was very clean, and showed no signs of end of season tiredness. There are plenty of dishes, cutlery, and glassware, cooking and baking supplies.The bedrooms have comfortable mattresses with no sagging, enough room for your clothes and plenty of hangers in the closets. The laundry room on the second floor has a large capacity washer and dryer. It is located between the master bedroom and the twin bedroom, with doors to each. so there is an option for the twin bedroom to share the master bath, or to share a smaller hall bathroom with the small queen bedroom. A library with an eclectic collection of both recent and older books is incorporated into the twin bedroom. A smaller collection of books, numerous igsaw puzzles, and games are on shelves on the first floor. TV reception is good. Internet is very spotty on the second floor, but good in the living/sunroom where the sofas, desk, and TV are. My husband was able to participate in Zoom meetings for work.Corea has two very good casual lunch places on the water, a gallery/gift store, gorgeous views, a few trails, and an excellent lobster boat tour, but that's it. This mini estate was a beautiful place to get away."
