Very handy at the service station just off M74. Signage into parking and route to entrance could be better especially at night!! Exterior needs updating but excellent service from staff at reception. Room had 1 double and 2 single. It would be nice if one of the singles was a sofa bed not made up if not required so more comfortable seating. Adequate bathroom but extractor was so noisy and sounded like it would explode. Door very stiff ( both issues reported which staff took on board) . Lots of hot water good supply of tea and coffee. The beds were very comfortable. Sadly couldn't tube into BBC1 as TV had not been upgraded to receive??

Iffy but convenient
The hotel was ok, but room was freezing when we arrived and if you’re taking dogs watch out- I was quoted £15 for my two but they really meant £15 per dog… bit of a shock to get £30 bill.

Highly recommend
Very friendly staff and the room service lady was very very friendly helpful n with a smile great customer service just like the reception staff made you feel at home Would recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful friendly place to stay

The room was clean but lacked good upkeep. There was a crack in the sink and a chip in the bath.

First time guest… but definitely not the last!!!
We stayed for one night and we will definitely stay again. The staff are lovely, the check in and check out process was fast and efficient, the room was basic but clean and the bed was really comfy. We arrived late after driving from Thurso and left early, knowing that we would return. There we two added bonuses, parking on site and dog friendly….a great stay

One time stay
The window let in a massive draft, one tiny wall heater in room. Also heard alot of traffic noise. The 'shower' in the bathroom was a metal nozzle/spout of sorts attached to the wall. The carpet in the shared hallway was full of stains.

Good budget hotel, highly recommended
Overall experience was 5* - the staff were lovely and made a fuss of the children when we checked in. Always said morning and engaged us as we entered and left each day. As far as budget hotels go this was fab! We only paid £130 for 3 nights and served a purpose of a base whilst we went out for the day. It was very clean and tidy… I only gave it 4* for this because some bits of hotel were looking a bit ‘tired’. Completely satisfied with whole stay and would recommend.

Everything was as expected and fine! We did find the bed a little too firm (and a little on the high side) though this observation could be personal preferences. The welcoming staff and staff in general were friendly pleasant and welcoming, patient and responsive with our children which was appreciated and overall they were a positive experience.

Good hotel for the price
Good hotel for the price. Not the most modern but decent enough and reception had a great range of essentials, snacks and alcohol available. Services next door was good for a cooked breakfast in the morning.

This was an unexpected last minute stop on my way home from travelling from down south. I had been in the car 8hrs and found out that my pre-arranged hotel booking had been cancelled with only last minute notification. I continued driving and found that Days Inn was on route home and have availability. I booked on line but made a note that I was likely only to make it to them past midnight (I wasn't sure if the reception would still be manned). On arrival I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who checked me in, made sure I had all I needed and advised that she was available and on shift till 07:00hrs. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a good shower, firm bed (as I prefer) and quiet for it's location. The only downside was that the corridors smelled a little unsavoury but otherwise everything was very pleasant and made me consider staying here again if I need to enroute again.

Good spot for a sleep break on a long drive to Edinburgh. Room smelt a little damp but no real problem for one night especially for 60 quid. Fire alarm going off after 11pm was not ideal with small kids having to wait in service station area. This couldn't be helped and staff were helpful dealing with tricky situation. Would stay again when coming back up to Scotland
