Stayed at the Alfred January 2017 and had a lovely break with the wife , Rooms are a bit basic but have a nice modern en suite shower and toilet . Finding the hotel is really easy as well you just need to get a 197 bus from outside the airport for 5euros which will take you right past it ,get off at Museumplein and just walk back to where the bus came from . Also got a 2 day pass on the trams for 12 euros each and then caught the number 16 tram into Dam square , on returning back to the hotel just get a number 16 tram back and get off at Emmastraat which 2 mins from hotel . We did loads of walking as well once in the centre ,
Loads of fast food chains every where but a little harder to find authentic Dutch food ,did eventually tho at a restaurant called Heise Cliesie in Spui Straat and had Stampot which really nice stick to your ribs food.
We did Hieniken experience , canal cruise ,Anne Frank house ,Torture Museum , Sex museum which is not for the prudish .
Lovely, spacious room with all the necessary facilities Friendly, efficient and personal service from the staff. Location convenient for tram travel, especially for the art galleries, while still being away from the centre.
I have to start by saying I am quite fussy. i have an eye for nice design and even budget hotels can have that if it is done well.
This hotel was a bit too basic for me. It didn't have that feel of cosy-ness, warmth or style.
If it weren't for those beautiful nature wall papers behind the beds in each room they would have looked extremely plane.
Overall it was a good stay and I am satisfied with the hotel. They do not accept cash as a payment option and their reception is almost like a self-service, which is cool. On a Christmas Day one of the front desk agents made hot chocolate for me free of charge, thank you for that!
I think we've found the perfect hotel! The staff were so welcoming and as other reviewers have said it felt more like staying in Amsterdam with friends and not a hotel. The accommodation was impeccably presented and the room bigger than we had expected.
We chose Museum Suites for the location and it was absolutely spot on. Vondelpark and the surrounding area is great for a quiet stroll and a bite to eat and the city centre is only a short tram ride away. We bought our tram tickets from the hotel and even if you are a public transport novice you can’t go wrong.
Museum Suites is one of those hotels where you know you’ve booked a city break with the idea of getting out and about and exploring the wonders on offer but you feel like you could relax in your room all day as it’s so homely.
We don’t often go back to places we’ve been before but I think we’ll be making an exception for Museum Suites and Amsterdam – it was the perfect short city break.

I have been to Amsterdam many times and stayed at many hotels, some of them are better than this one but far more expensive so if you want clean, well equipped, comfortable and good hotel at reasonable rates, I can't recommend any other hotel rather than The Concert hotel

Nice hotel as a base for our 5 days in Amsterdam. About a 30-45 min walk from the centre depending if you walk through the park or not. Very nice area, always felt safe. Hotel is quite basic i.e. No bar etc but that was fine for us as we didn't plan on spending much time there. Room was nice and clean - carpet could do with an update but other than that the room was nice. Reception staff were very helpful. We didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on that.

This large grassy space is a great place to escape the bustle of the city. In summer Amsterdammers come here to stroll, jog, roller-skate, sunbathe, listen to free concerts and watch the buskers and children’s entertainers. The Nederlands Filmmuseum is a very popular cinema (free outdoor screenings in summer) with an excellent café restaurant. The Hollandse Manege is a charming period building and home to the Dutch Riding School.
