"Close to the beach amd walking path"
This is an older building and doesn't have air conditioning. It does have a small lift to the floors and has a dining room and pub. A number of other places to eat nearby. Staff very friendly. Parking can be a bit hard to find but do get a parking pass rather than using a parcade

"Warm welcome and everything you need"
Hosts very friendly, welcoming, efficient, helpful and accommodating. Although small, our room had everything you need and would get in a five star hotel. Location great for exploring the fabulous Folkstone Warren, the Town and other local sights and has on-site parking. Breakfast was just right with choice and thoughtful touches. Sarah was very helpful with information and and advice and felt like a friend by the time we left.

"OK for short stop-overs"
The staff are very polite and helpful. The family room (8) is a good size, however, the mattress on the double bed is rather thin and it is not possible to sleep on the top third of the sofa bed once laid out as it is as hard as a rock. TV reception was pretty bad and wifi was hit and miss. The handle on the bathroom window was missing, which, in cold weather, may be an issue as the window could not be shut. One of the windows in the room did not have a blind or curtain but the light came streaming through the other thin curtains so it didn't make much difference! The full English breakfasts were nice. There was little choice of cereals and juice. The burgers we had at tea were lovely, unfortunately the salad leaves tasted muddy. Hair dryers, iron and board are available on request but not automatically in the rooms. During our 2 night stay, the room was tidied and cleaned and the tea/coffee/milk pouches and water bottle replenished. Dogs are allowed at this inn and even in the rooms where food is served so keep an eye on your sausages! There was an old fat fryer odour to parts of the inn near the kitchen but it was bearable, unlike other reviews I've seen that make it out to be worse.

"Close to the beach and the Channel Tunnel"
Very worn around the edges, but as clean as it can be given the worn-out state of the fittings. We stayed during the week, so we don't know what noise levels would be like at the weekend, but we managed to get a decent sleep. The hotel is convenient for the channel tunnel and we chose it because it is close to the beach so you can go for a walk and stretch your legs after (and before) a long journey stuck in a car. The bar / grill attached to the hotel is convenient; you can have a meal without going far and the food was good for what it was. The room was shabby (but clean) but the mattress was surprisingly comfortable.

    Pocket Guide: Kent Folkestone Hotels

Folkestone may have changed and developed a great deal since it became a ferry port, but it has managed to hold on too to its traditional character as an old fishing villages, so there are plenty of things to see and do here. Innovative local initiatives have ensured that the old town and the harbour area have not been ransacked by developers and that they continue to be a big draw for visitors. Based in a Kent hotel such as the Grand Burstin Hotel Folkestone or the Burlington Hotel you'll be able to explore Folkestone at your leisure and revel in its old world charm.

Enjoy Folkestone's Fresh Air with a Kent Hotel

With Romney Marsh and sandy beaches to the west, the ancient Cinque Port town of Hythe a stone's throw away and the White Cliffs of Dover a little to the east, Folkestone has a fabulous coastal setting against a backdrop of unspoilt countryside. The Folkestone area has been aptly described as the Garden Coast of Kent, and you'll see why when you're booked in to a B&B, hotel or guesthouse in the area. People come here to get rid of the cobwebs and to explore some of the most beautiful scenic walking routes in the county.

Be Close to Folkestone's Attractions with a Kent Hotel

The Leas Promenade is famous for its mile-long walkway, much of which stretches along the cliff-top paths. If you're coming with kids you could do worse than make for the local beaches and adventure playground, but Folkestone also has great shopping opportunities. In the town centre there are many independent fashion and top-brand outlets, whilst for culture vultures there are the studios, galleries and boutiques of the Creative Quarter. With a number of concert venues and festivals throughout the year, Folkestone is the perfect destination for a fun break of any duration.

Close to London and on the main route to the Continent, Folkestone is becoming increasingly popular, but thanks to innovative and creative development projects has lost none of its old traditional charm. Book in to a hotel like The Relish or The Rob Roy Guest House and have a great time here.
