Firstly, this is a Vietnamese hotel, in Vietnam, aimed, primarily, at Vietnamese tourists. If it isn't your picture-perfect image of what a hotel should be, based on the assumptions and expectations you've brought from your home country, then just remember this fact.
The room was amazing. We were in the area across the street from the sea, room 506 I think, and it was great. Quiet, clean, spacious, comfortable bed, everything you need. The hotel's beach isn't amazing - you won't be sitting pushing sand through your toes with a mojito, but the lounging areas are fine if all you want is a sea view, some fresh air and a good book.
Breakfast was absolutely fine - again, aimed at Vietnamese tastes, so don't expect a perfect continental breakfast or whatever you'd have at home, but we found eggs, bacon, smoked sausage, fresh fruit, small cakes and yoghurts, cereal....and of course pho, rice, noodles.
The whole resort was clean and tidy. The pool in particular was spotless, not a leaf out of place and lots of flowers and hanging baskets.
Just don't come here expecting things to be done "the way we do things" and don't expect everyone you speak to to speak English or know what an Americana is or how to make you the perfect ham, eggs and cheese breakfast - you're in Vietnam.
We'll definitely be back.
