"The Incredible Glass Tower of Sheung Wan"
This is simply the best hotel in Hong Kong when considering amenities, view, and price. I considered many hotels for my week-long holiday in Hong Kong, and I am thrilled that I chose this hotel. Having selected a deluxe suite, I was given room 35C, on the 35th of 36 floors. The "C" suite is in the southeast corner of the building, affording views of Victoria Peak, the harbor, and Sheung Wan. Suites "A" and "C" are the corner rooms, and suite "B" is the middle room. There are only 3 rooms per floor. Corner suites on floors 32-36 offer 5 floor-to-ceiling windows wrapping the room. Lower floors have 3 floor-to-ceiling windows. Near as I can tell, "standard suites" are the middle rooms on lower floors, "premium suites" are the corner rooms on lower floors, and "deluxe suites" are the corner rooms on higher floors.
The location is a 2 minute walk to the Sheung Wan MTR station and Trolley stop. It's also a quick 15 minute walk to the bars and restaurants in LKF. However, it's worth venturing deeper into Sheung Wan to see the shops near Hollywood street, along with the dozen local bakeries and cafes serving up delicious, inexpensive food.
Possibly the best feature of the hotel is the roof deck. The warning sign on the door makes it look like guests aren't allowed, but the front desk confirmed it is OK. There are two chaise lounges and two tables up top. If you save money on the room and get a lower floor, you still have the best view in the house available to you.
