"It's a very nice hotel. Location: 3-5 minutes to lifts. Plenty of Guides and Rental spots. Restaurants: Everything is nearby! 3-10 minutes and you have everything! Pool/Gym/Hot Tub: Busy pool after ski, gym always easy. Bar / Billiards: Very nice bar area. Overall, one of the best hotels in Val d'Isere. Doubt there are better."

"Great experience although strange as we were the only guests as it their off season. Made to feel very welcome despite the language problem as no English spoken (we were in Italy after all) until the owners’ son arrived. Great breakfast. Only adverse comment is that the location shown in Hotels.com is in the village whereas it is a couple of kilometres outside along a steep winding road."

"Staff was very helpful, location is ideal. But, can't figure out why a bed too large for the room is shoe-horned in, with a small counter-table located so it is almost impossible to get around bed to rest of room. "

"The junior suit was excellent except for two major problems. The noise from the road was teribble all day between 8 am and 8pm. It was in August the weather was hot, no air condition, impossible to close windows. The owner was very nice and gave us a portable electric circulator, it was better than nothing but didn't solve the problem. There are other smaller rooms in the hotel with less noise that are not at the road side.These rooms were too smal for us. We can imagine that during winter time...

"If you are looking for a lovely studio in a walkable area near the airport with a generous breakfast, this is the place for you. BE SURE to coordinate your arrival with your host. DO NOT do what I did: reserve the 3-room apartment and show up at the given address. (The instruction to make prior arrangements if you are arriving after 10:30 pm is completely misleading.). It is an apartment building with no way to get in and no way to contact anyone. We were about to return to Turin to search...

"The property was not what I expected as it was chunky with so much thick wood panels and very outdated in style The staff were charming from arrival to departure and an excellent breakfast selection...........Sadly no other meals were served as they said there was no restaurant. The rooms were spotless and inviting ,but very outdated in color and style, such dark colors gloomy halls where lights are automatic left me standing in the dark by the elevator. "We are a family of four, with two college-age children, and had a wonderful stay at the Samovar. We stayed in one of the family rooms, which was perfect for us (with two beds in a spacious upstairs loft). The hotel is perfectly located -- literally across the street from the Dailles gondola (and only about a block from the funicular to the summit). There are a couple of restaurants nearby, including a great Savoyarde spot across the street. There is a regular shuttle bus to the main village of...

"Séjour très agréable,nous avons été accueillis par les propriétaires de l'hôtel malgré l'heure tardive très chaleureusement, ceux-ci nous ont conseillé un très bon restaurant pas très loin de l'hôtel. Durant notre séjour nous nous sommes sentis comme en famille.La sympathie de ce couple n'est pas feinte.Ils sont très sociables et gentils. Nous avons pus passer l'après-midi avec notre famille au bord la piscine malgré le fait qu'ils ne logeaient pas dans l'hôtel ils ont été les bienvenus. En...
