"Lovely quiet location near Southampton."
Stayed at this hotel recently when visiting Southampton. Picked this hotel largely due to the fact that the boat show was on the same weekend and there was very little available closer to the city. Because the hotel was somewhat out of the way it was a lovely quiet location. The staff were all very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for them. The choice of food at breakfast was great and our kids used the pool and played tennis. No fault of the hotel, but in future I would want to stay closer to the city so that we could avail of taxis on a night out and not have to be the designated driver.

Made very welcome, room was changed for me as I am disabled. The agent did not check facilities were as requested by him. Food good but very high priced and a bit obscure. In all we enjoyed our time

"Enjoyable stay within walking distance of town."
Very enjoyable stay, relaxed atmosphere. The check-in was easy, the room was clean and comfortable. The bar was lovely with a chilled atmosphere and a well stocked bar. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very pleasant with good air conditioning. The bathroom was clean, modern with lovely fluffy white towels. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of hot and cold food. The bacon in particular was very good.

"great hotel and wonderful location."
Nice and quiet, very relaxing, wife had a spa session which she enjoyed thoroughly. We had two teas outside in the September sun, did have to ask for another round of sandwiches [1 round not really enough for two, not at those prices!]. Would go again, just need to save up!

"Nice hotel, village, staff, a confused breakfast"
Nice hotel and room in a lovely village. The staff were also generally friendly. But the breakfast is a bit confused. For some reason they couldn't seem to make scrambled eggs on toast it - it took three attempts and still wasn't right. I think it was something to do with the toast being part of the buffet and eggs a la cart. But overall a nice stay and am happy to recommend it.
