"perfunctory. Adequate for purpose. Good position "
We stayed only 1 night as I had to attend a morning conference in the Hotel itself. It was perfectly adequate and comfortable but you wouldn't make it a holiday destination. Great breakfast !

"Motel rather than hotel"
Staff on arrival were very nice, "mews" room pleasant but draughty thanks to gap round the door. Glad to say weather was nice as we had an outdoor walk to get to the restaurant for breakfast.

"Comfortable hotel with very big and spacious rooms"
I stayed for 4 days on a business trip. The room was serviced daily and was very clean, spacious and comfortable as was the bed. There is a Spa which was small but perfectly adequate for a small group, a couple or a single person to enjoy. Staff were all very friendly and polite. I did not eat in the Restaurant but did so in the bar where there is a limited menu, but the food did what it said on the tin, more than adequately. The decor and furnishings are generally in keeping with this 17th century house
