"We stayed for 4 nights at the Southport hotel and these were some of the tiniest rooms I’ve ever seen. We probably should’ve looked closely at the measurements of the room. We had a bunch of luggage as we were visiting from Australia. Brekky was good, people friendly but rooms too small and beds were very uncomfortable. "

Pub/restaurant next to the accommodation building had a great selection of beers and a comprehensive menu. Breakfast was served in the pub/restaurant. Great selection from continental to full english."

"Impressive reception area, main stair case and restaurant area. Friendly, welcoming staff. Bedroom fine - clean and comfortable. En-suite bathroom a little tired but functional and perfectly acceptable. Very quiet overnight. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is in lovely grounds which give direct access to the reservoirs and country park beyond, ideal for an early morning stroll. Plenty of car parking space."
