"Quaint and classy"
Found this little gem by searching online for nice hotels in the Cotswolds. We got lucky! This place is an ideal getaway for a long weekend, for couples or families. The main building is a beautiful old great-house. Beside it are the "stables" which have been thoughtfully converted into modern and comfortable rooms. The grounds are impeccably kept. The spa, gym and indoor pool are top-notch. Food in the restaurant is excellent but expensive. Staff are friendly and efficient and went out of their way to help wherever they could. Cant complain about anything really, but the spa gets busy so book in advance.

"Nice hotel in a nice setting"
Good promote to all Cotswolds villages. Friendly staff. Although they did specifically ask if we wanted a morning newspaper. It never turned up at our door. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

"Always puzzled whether reviewers have visited!!!!"
A nice hotel with good facilities. The staff are welcoming, rooms well equipped (see below). Breakfast was excellent, good choice and regularly re-stocked in order to avoid over cooked items. Room was very cold when we arrived - assumed heating had not come on yet. But I must question why the housekeeping staff had not noticed. When we came to head out for dinner and still no heating, we reported to reception. To their credit it was fixed by the time we returned - but again why was the fault no spotted. Why did we get given a room with an additional single bed - I would have preferred a larger bed in maybe a smaller room. Breakfast was very good, with a good range and choice and well cooked and tasty. Nothing was left to get cooked or dry out. One ironic point though - Breakfast room was very busy on Sunday, but never a long wait for food. However staff seem to struggle to clear tables and re-set. I had just pointed this out to my wife, we had just cooked our toast and selected butter and marmalade and headed to get our cooked food - returned to the table to find the staff had cleared the table, the fresh toast included - somewhat more annoying, as the toasters were very slow.

"Fabulous "
Lots of attention to detail at this hotel, when we arrived we had been upgraded which was a nice surprise! The room and bathroom were fantastic, we went for dinner at their sister hotel no.131 where the hotel arranged a complementary taxi! When we returned the beds had been turned down and had hot chocolate and cookies left out! On check out we were given bottle of water and chocolate for our journey! Just a lovely evening away!
