"Really nice hotel near the city centre. Very short walk away from train stations (Exeter Central and Exeter St David's) and the cathedral. The room was a great size and very clean. There was also some complimentary port and flapjacks which was a lovely surprise when we arrived. The breakfast was really tasty and decently priced (£15 for a cooked breakfast, unlimited hot drinks, and a small continental breakfast buffet). Only negative for me was that it was sometimes quite hard to find a member...

"We had such a wonderful stay at the castle hotel. The only feedback was the receptionist on check out wasn’t as friendly as the lady that had checked us in. She appeared to be confused with the communication around breakfast timings. Over all it was a wonderful stay, in the perfect location and it’s such a beautiful hotel"

"In a venerable building such as this, there are always sure to be minor defects - creaking floorboards above us was one - but that didn't detract from a really nice stay in the spacious Duke room. "Our stay was very short but comfortable. The room was very nice. Because we had had a long walk after an early start we had no touble sleeping next to the A30, which was quieter than we expected. Breakfast was great and the shower was refreshing and powerful."
