"Excellent city centre hotel"
Excellent hotel in the city centre within walking distance of all the major tourist sites. Comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff and terrific view of the Acropolis from the roof garden restaurant.

"Close to everything, great front desk staff"
Smaller rooms than I expected, but when in Athens you aren't spending much time in your hotel room. The sights were very easy to walk to, the new museum was super close, and just two streets away was a great street with a whole bunch of restaurants. Perfect location.

"nice hotel near the Acropolis"
nice boutique hotel, clean, good location, friendly staff. The only complaint would be using the taxi arranged by the hotel. This cost 60 euro but we found out that most taxi's have a flat rate of 38 euro from the airport.

"Excellent location, Really small standard rooms"
Airport to Hotel via Taxi 40 Euro; Hotel has a very nice outside appearance and lobby, surrounding area a little dark in one direction but beautiful in the other. Receptionist at front desk very helpful and welcoming and provided excellent information about surrounding area and how to get around. Standard room was very small, even for Europe, more like a bedroom with it's own bathroom. Two people cannot walk around the room or open the closets at the same time. Stayed with our eight year old who had a pretty uncomfortable fold out bed, very thin mattress that sank if you sat in the wrong place. Adult bed was comfortable, fluffy pillows and clean linen. Hotel room looks and feels outdated and needs remodeling. Location of the hotel can't be beat, your in walking distance of all the Athens sites with great Greek restaurants next door for breakfast, lunch, and dinner all speaking English. Roof top restaurant has great view of Acropolis but way overpriced for the hotel with small portions, way better food down the street for a better price. 3 Star hotel not a 4 star. Would consider going back.

"Best hotel we had "
We booked the Athens Was for our last night before flying home from a month-long motorcycle tour of Greece and Sicily. Of the 20 or so places we stayed this was by far the best. It's in a great walkable neighborhood and has a fine open air restaurant on the top floor with a wonderful view of the Acropolis. The staff arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport and another to take us back the next morning at 3:30. Wish we could have stayed longer, this is a great hotel!

Pocket Guide: Athens Acropolis 4 stars Hotels

On the southern edge of Plaka, the pedestrianised archaeological promenade skirts the foot of the Acropolis, cutting between the pine-covered slopes of Filopappos Hill and Herodes Theatre (built 2 AD), hosting open-air performances through summer. Close by is the New Acropolis Museum, designed by Swiss architect Bernard Tschumi.
