"My experience was a 10 out of 10 as I was here for 5 nights with my sister to celebrate my birthday. When we asked for a change of room due to the initial room smelling damp, it was handled seamlessly. The restaurants don't take reservations, so go early or you may have to wait a long time to get a seat. We were impressed by the selection at the buffet. The gym can use some modern equipment. The staff was always professional and I was always happy tip. Will recommend 100%."

"Comfortable & Modern Stay, But Light Sleepers Beware We spent a week at Lumina at Cardinal Cabo San Lucas. While we had a relaxing time, a few drawbacks kept it from being a perfect 5-star stay. The Positives: • Comfort & Cleanliness: Extremely clean, modern, and smells amazing. The design is beautiful, and the Lumina-branded bathroom amenities are premium quality. • Pool & Hot Tub: Since it wasn't crowded, we had the rooftop pool and hot tub mostly to ourselves. It was perfect after a long day out. • Location: Not right in town, but the distance is perfect if you rent a vehicle (which we did) to escape the busy downtown/Marina noise. The Negatives: • Listing Inaccuracy: Expedia stated our unit included a washer/dryer, but it did not. Not a dealbreaker for a week, but the listing should be corrected. • Parking Access: You cannot open the underground gate automatically. Every time you return, someone has to walk to reception to ask them to open it. Tedious if traveling solo. • Severe Noise: The building has single-pane windows, letting heavy road noise in. Also, first-floor businesses generate foot traffic noise that travels easily up to the 3rd floor. We found earplugs in the room and initially thought it was an exaggeration, but after night one, we understood why. I'm a light sleeper and don't like wearing earplugs to sleep. It would have ruined my trip if we hadn't stayed in a 2-bedroom unit; we slept in the interior bedroom away from the street. If forced to sleep facing"

Pueblo Bonito Montecristo Luxury Villas - All Inclusive

"Pueblo Bonito Montecristo is a truly extraordinary experience and value! Our party of six included two preteens. They loved the private pool included in our three bedroom villa. Our concierge, Kia, was an absolute delight. She explained, she executed and was charming throughout our stay. She made reservations, provided advice and generally guided our stay with zero bumps The villa was spotless and housekeeping was executed flawlessly and invisibly. Room service brought our requests with dispatch and always a friendly greeting. No matter the hour, snacks, wine, coffee, etc were always available. Restaurants are excellent, and our visit to sister property Rose' for brunch was a huge success. Service at the pool bars was fast and friendly as was poolside dining. There are add on options in a couple of venues but our party never even inquired, the all inclusive choices were excellent. Our in house transportation arrangements were first rate and our granddaughters really enjoyed their first limo rides. Shuttle service around the massive Montecristo grounds required only very short waits after calling. The most overwhelming characteristic of this stay for us was the good humor and incredible poise, friendliness and charm of every single staff member we encountered. From wait staff, shop clerks, drivers, even the landscapers! Our first trip to Baja and Montecristo could not have been better!"
