"Remodeled lobby and rooms"
I stayed at this hotel for a weekend with my wife and toddler. Although the hotel looks a little plain on the outside, the rooms were updated and everything was clean and new--furniture, carpet, bathroom tile--and attractive (granite countertops, very soft and absorbent towels). We enjoyed the convenience of two sinks and two counters (one in the bathroom and one just outside it), although it was a little puzzling why there was a soap dispenser next to only one of the sinks (the one outside the bathroom). We liked that the hotel used wall-mounted dispensers for the hand soap, bath soap, and shampoo. The towels, sheets, and bed coverings were all very nice, and there was an extra blanket at the bottom of each bed. The TV had plenty of cable channels. The hotel's location right downtown gave it some advantages over other hotels. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Our one maintenance concern received an immediate response and fix. The breakfast included a range of cereals, breads (bagels, English muffins, muffins), yogurt, eggs (not powdered), breakfast meat. I would have liked whole fruit, but there were two containers with sliced fruit (pineapple and grapefruit, not canned). Overall, this hotel offered great value for the price.
