We had read reviews and were expecting something at lot worse. The hotel is convenient for the railway station, theatre, wetherspoons across the road, town centre and a short taxi ride to the Horse racing course. The hotel is basic but we found the room clean and acceptable. The bed was also very ...
literally 30 second walk from train station. 4th time we've stayed here and although it's obviously a hotel from a different age it's always spotlessly clean and the rooms are very comfortable with all the necessary modern facilities.
Spent one night. Was very clean, staff were extremely helpful and polite. Room was clean, bed was excellent, choice of pillows and lovely soft sheets. Had a great nights sleep and was fresh for the day ahead.
Basically all o.k. but I begrudge being asked to pay for internet, other services offer it as an incentive to use them. This will be a deciding factor in future bookings.
I will come there again but stay more nights the food and room was nice
We live locally, but fancied a meal & a night out, so stayed at the Bull. Staff were great, Food was excellent, great choice for breakfast.

We had a double bed which was clean and comfy. Breakfast was good there was plenty of everything hot and cold. Very enjoyable ...

Very comfortable room - basic but with everything you need for a stopover. Very less than, friendly staff, particularly Christian who was working really hard in the breakfast room - he never stopped, making sure tables were cleared and cleaned efficiently.
