Everything about this hotel was excellent cleaniness of the room hotel staff were polite and helpful only downside was there could of been 3 beds instead of 2 as our party was 3 people so 2 of us had 2 share but other than that very pleased with stay.
Perfect hotel for a short trip. Staff excellent and very friendly, room very comfortable and clean, lovely bathroom with big shower! Ironing room on 3rd floor which I found very convenient. All round I was very impressed.
From the outside the hotel let's itself down but once you go in the reception areas are lovely, rooms are great, clean, comfortable and modern, although the bathrooms need to be updated
Great place to stay. Extremely good value. Breakfast was delicious every day. Staff was fantastic and friendly! Wish they were here in the USA!!
We chose this hotel because we're driving up to Leeds and like to stay close to the M6. This gives us the opportunity to acclimatize to the change in timezone. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially the lady who took care of the dining area and food.

The proximity of Hertfordshire to London makes it popular with commuters to the capital. Despite being just a short journey from the bustling capital, the county has one of the most attractive and varied rural landscapes in this part of England, and is popular with visitors at all times of year. When it comes to accommodation types, too, Hertfordshire is not found wanting. Whether your inclination is for a small B&B in a traditional old town like St. Albans or a bigger hotel in Watford, the county's largest town, you'll have no trouble in finding what takes your fancy. Many visitors prefer the flexibility and economy of three star hotels in Hertfordshire when they come here, as a happy compromise between a smart B&B and a bigger hotel.
Hertfordshire makes a perfect destination whether you're coming here on your own, as a couple or group, or as a family. The varied landscapes of river valleys, forests and hills like the Chilterns, an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, are ideally adapted for walkers, ramblers and cyclists. Theme parks such as Old MacDonald's Farm are popular with the kids, and for sporty types there are spots such as the Snow Centre and Lee Valley White Water Centre. There's so much to do here that the problem can often be simply deciding where to go from your Hertfordshire three star hotel or guesthouse for the day.
Hertfordshire is one of the great historic counties of England, its location in the south attracting visitors from afar for many centuries, some of them more appreciated than others! Today, people come to experience the county's beautiful landscapes and enjoy nature to the full, as well as to sample the history and culture on offer in ancient towns such as St. Albans.
The whole region is dotted with stately homes and castles, landscaped gardens and lovely open areas that make ideal day-trip destinations from a suitable three star hotel in Hertfordshire. Many of the more modern towns here, such as Welwyn Garden City and Letchworth, have excellent shopping facilities and if you're based at a Hertfordshire hotel in the region of Elstree you can visit the famous film studios there.
This is Green Belt land, an area of England within a short distance of Central London that is protected to preserve its great natural beauty. Visitors come here for the rich and varied contrasts they find in the county's alternating areas of forest, parkland and rolling hills like the magnificent Chilterns, and for all the activities on offer. Try white water rafting in the Lee Valley or visit a world-class stately home such as Hatfield House. With all this and London nearby too, what more could you reasonably want?
