Recommended to all to stay here. The whole atmosphere from booking in to leaving the hotel is very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful
The Friars Carse Country House was easy to find and the setting was beautiful. We watched the sun set over the River Nith as we sipped our drinks in the front reception room. It was so nice we had our dinner served there. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There is a lovely river walk that ...
When coming into reception the building was out of this world, receptionist was very helpful. The room was lovely would have liked a king size bed, bathroom needs some maintenance ceiling and walls need some work done due to crack on wall and some dampness on ceiling.
Bungalow type hotel, just of motorway, not far from Gretna Outlet shopping. Hotel has a quirky feel with an interior that will surprise you. Very welcoming staff, rooms are huge, and although seems to have been refurbished, could still do with a few more improvements. Carpets are a bit threadbare ...
We can't say enough good things about our stay at Village Inn. We were a family of 4 and the room was very spacious. Bathrooms and rooms were very clean and Alison was an amazing host. We felt so welcomed and well taken care of. Breakfast was delicious as well. We would absolutely recommend Village ...
Scotland boasts an array of fascinatingly beautiful regions, such as the southern area of Dumfries and Galloway. Book a three star hotel here, then go and explore all of the natural offerings this place has for guests to discover.
Even when the sun is hiding (this is Scotland after all) the shorelines of Dumfries and Galloway can be fully appreciated. The Solway Coast hems over 100 miles of the region’s southern shores. Walk along its sandy stretches and enjoy some of the beach activities that take place here. There is also the Solway Coast Heritage Trail that will introduce visitors to local wildlife and some spectacular scenery. If the sun does make an appearance, Sandyhills beach is just south of Dalbeatties and it offers a large sandy bay that is perfect for sunbathing.
To enjoy the local fauna and flora, 40 acres of plants and flowers decorate the grounds of Drumlanrig Castle Gardens. For something a little bit more exotic, southern hemisphere varieties can be found at the Logan Botanic Garden.
