A cute hotel thats well worth a stay. Sits right on the bus route to town. anumber 2 or 3 takes you to Union Square in 8 mins.
Staff were very helpful. We took a dinner one evening at the hotel and the steak was very tasty.
Recommend this hotel.
All staff very helpful and pleasant. Grounds very pretty, as well as the inside of the hotel. Very nicely decorated. Rooms very nice. I thought the shower area was awesome, but, my travel companion had not seen this type of shower before. It is open with no door or curtain. It was uncomfortable to him, so, you might want to give a heads up to people about the shower area, just in case. At least put a picture of it on your web page.
The hotel itself is not new but it was newly renovated. The area has great Japanese food and it's close enough to other neighborhoods. Our room was clean and spacious enough for 4 and the beds are big (queen instead double). The free wine at 5pm was a welcome treat.
The hotel is very nice. I was quite surprised. Excellent room size, current technologies, very clean, far more chic than I would have figured. Breakfast is served at a bistro next door which had good food. Staff is beyond pleasant. My only issue was its in the tenderloin neighborhood which is seedy and not conducive to one roaming comfortably around at all hours and as a result, there's very little in the way of entertainment.
Inn at the Opera in San Francisco is a Gem.At first glance it looks small and compact but the rooms and bed are very comfortable. As with a lot of hotels there is no mini bar but that is actually good because you can use the fridge to keep what you buy cool. The lift looks like a little door which is quite unique.Breakfast is fresh and welcoming.I did not eat at the restaurant because I was not there at dinner time. This hotel is in a different place to a lot of others which actually makes it a bit better. It does feel like a sanctuary after a big day and very safe. The fridge was making a noise but can be turned off at night, which I did.Sad to leave as the City and Hotel was most welcoming.
