I only stayed there for one night. The beds are absolutely comfortable! I just wish they had more parking, and cheaper parking. I had already paid for my stay and on top I paid almost 40 dollars for my car to stay in the hotel's parking overnight. Overall, it's a nice place with very friendly staff members.
Booked through Expedia, not knowing what we were really getting, but it was top notch. Only $13 cab ride to the wharf. Not a lot around the hotel area, except for a few nice restaurants and wouldn't recommend walking alone in the evening for a woman. Would definitely recommend it to others and come back again.
Spent the weekend here for the cherry blossom festival which was about a 20 minute walk. They were able to accommodate my 11 pm check in, staying in touch via text. Someone was there to show me to my room.
The building is old with a small elevator but the rooms are new, clean, and modern inside which impressed me. Bathroom was spotless with a shower. There's also another sink in the room and a fridge and microwave.
I got a room on the third floor facing Van Ness so there was noise from the street. This is typical of many hotels in SF of this kind though they could have invested in better sound insulation on the windows. At least there were curtains that blocked light from the street.
Awesome boutique hotel. Just a couple of blocks from Japantown, about a mile from The Painted Ladies and close to corner market and restaurants. Our room was very nice and comfortable. A little noisy but they will offer you a quieter room if you choose. Room was a little stuffy so we just opened the windows to bring in that nice California breeze. Overall a good experience and friendly staff.
We chose this hotel based on it's reasonable rates and its location within the city. It is literally steps away from the end stop for one of the cable cars which we found very convenient. The staff was very friendly and happy to give out information when needed. The only thing we were disappointed about was that the pool was closed.
Smallish but well equipped room with comfortable bed, microwave, fridge & utensils. Excellent complimentary breakfast with fruit & cereals, eggs & cold meats + something hot (varies, but eggs benedict at weekend excellent). Friendly and helpful staff and quiet location overnight.
I like the Cova Hotel. It is a well kept and well managed property. The hotel staff, especially Latoya were excellent. There are many homeless people in San Francisco and especially in the neighborhood around this property. We took Uber everywhere and that worked really well.
