Pocket Guide: 3 Stars Hotels in Cavan

3 Star Hotels in Cavan

For great value combined with exemplary facilities, the three star hotels around Cavan take some beating. While an ancient bell tower is all that remains of the 13th century Franciscan friary the town grew up around, nevertheless the history of this town made infamous by the 17th century rebel leader Owen Roe O'Neill holds many delights for the traveller. It’s the largest town of County Cavan in the Republic of Ireland, located on the beautiful River Erne, and surrounded by stunning lakes.

With activities on hand for all ages, Cavan is an excellent place for a short break away. Bearing this in mind, it’s no surprise so many visitors decide to visit Cavan when you have accommodation of this standard available in such high numbers. Explore the varied selection of Cavan’s three star hotels, guesthouses, bed and breakfasts and resorts featured by Expedia at your leisure, all reviewed by former guests so you can have confidence in what you’re booking.

Attractions in Cavan

Whether you’re here with the family, or on a romantic getaway, there is plenty to keep you occupied in Cavan. If getting out of town is your thing, there are castles nearby, country walks through breathtaking scenery, and options for cycling too. You’ll never be short of ways to enjoy the great outdoors in Cavan.

Most visitors opt for something on the water. Canoeing with excellent instructors on the river Erne is the most popular activity, and if you’re feeling bold enough, you can pull up on the banks of a ruined castle on an island in the middle of the river!

With so many attractions in the town and in the surrounding countryside, you’ll naturally want to make the most of your time here. That means finding accommodation as close by your interests as possible, and luckily there are high quality three star hotels all over Cavan. Want to stay in the town centre? You’ll be well served here. There are also plenty of plush hotels, boutique guesthouses and friendly bed and breakfasts scattered around the gorgeous County Cavan countryside.

Booking Your 3 Star Hotel in Cavan

The advantage of booking into a three star hotel is that in many cases they provide superb value for money. If you prefer to save your cash for eating, drinking, shopping and sightseeing while on holiday there’s no need to settle for a lower standard of accommodation as a result. You can still easily find inviting, comfortable accommodation in the place you want to stay, with plenty of attractive amenities to make your holiday that bit more special, from on-site restaurants showcasing the best of traditional and modern Irish cuisine to lively cocktail bars and breathtaking scenery.

As you would probably expect from one of Ireland’s least acknowledged, but most highly rated, popular visitor destinations, there is generally a very good standard of accommodation throughout Cavan. Book your hotel through Expedia and you’ll find some of the best rates available all year round, trustworthy reviews and an easy system for checking availability. Enjoy your stay.
