"Nice hotel well placed for exploring trossachs"
We were pleasantly surprised as the hotel is only 2 star. We found it to be very clean, comfortable and the food was good. The staff were all hard working, friendly and helpful. This is definitely a good choice if you are looking for a budget hotel in this area of the country. We would be more than happy to stay here again.

"Great location."
The B&B was great with a comfortable, warm room. Host was great giving us information for about getting around and places to eat. Great location for exploring the area, close to Stirling city centre, the castle and the Wallace monument.

Drum Farm

"Great location in the hills near Edinburgh."
We had a pleasant stay at the farm. The people were welcoming and it was lovely to find a solid stone traditional farm in the hills. It wasn't easy to find but worth the journey. The position means easy access to Edinburgh, Stirling and Falkirk. There are many cats and a friendly dog that we enjoyed seeing and playing with. The cooked breakfast was fantastic and just what you might imagine on a farm. The only down side was the décor was quite dated.

"I wasn't expecting much, and it delivered."
Balloch is an interesting area. Saturday night, every pub on the strip has live music. It is somewhat hopping to say the least. It reminds me a little bit of a New Jersey costal town. The restaurant and hotel attached to the pub are not bad. I didn't go out back to the night club, but it has loud bass. Yes, every room in the hotel is *extremely* loud on Friday and Saturday night, until 3AM due to the club. The bathrooms were clean, but falling apart. The staff were great though.
