"Clean and comfortable"
The hotel is located a little bit off the main street. Not very obvious when walk out of the station. However, once you know the location, you can commute quite easily to and from the stations (JR and subways). One side of the hotel is next to the cementery which you can just draw the curtain if you are uncomfortable.

"Good Value and Location"
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The café has a great selection of beers, but a bit pricey. We stayed in one of the traditional Japanese rooms. We got to sleep on futons on the floor. We loved it. The hotel itself isn't glitzy or fancy, but it's a great value for the money. It is close by a subway station and there are many restaurants and convenient stores nearby.

"Good, but have to know what you're getting into"
Very convenient location in the heart of Shinjuku. 3 minute walk to JR Shin-Okubo station. If you're used to sleeping on mattresses, you have to understand that sleeping on tatami mats (with a futon) will take adjusting to. Every reasonably priced hotel in Tokyo will be rather small, but the bathroom seemed especially so. Having said that, it is good for those wanting an affordable, convenient, and clean place to stay.

"Pleasant stay"
An overall pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Very central location, and near major shopping location. Very easy access to the rest of metropolitan Tokyo. Situated in a quiet suburban area, but not far away from the bright lights of Tokyo.

For the price and the area, great amount of space. The front desk was super helpful. Also held our bags after we checked out for a few hours before our flight which was nice.

This sprawling business, commercial, and entertainment center never lets up. Futuristic-looking City Hall offers a free observation deck with great city views.
