"A local's place, no frills, good, clean place. "
Check-in was a breeze, staff was nice & understood my fair amount of Spanish. I arrived 3pm just in time for check-in, the front staff gave me my key, no elevator, got up short stairs to 3rd floor to look for my room which unfortunately was not ready yet Still being cleaned. No biggie, I went up to the rooftop to survey the property & explore the hotel a bit. Went down a different flight of stairs & the front staff saw me & gasped thinking I got lost, told them no, but the room was not ready. After about 10mins it was so I went up & got unpacked & noticed, no towels, went down to ask for towel & front was surprised & didn't seem to believe me but gave me towel & everything was good.
It was a really quaint & decent place to stay where all around were local's, I had a balcony room, no A/C but the weather was good enough for a celieng fan, if you're not used to humidity, go for the A/C room but I went on a decent month (April 14-18, 2016) day was warm & night got cool. If noise is a problem for you, don't get a balcony but some ear plugs & sleep aid, I was fine. Noise levels are loud at rush hours, after 11pm everything starts to mellow down but it's on a street route so some cars & bus sometimes pass by. No screens on the Windows but didn't have any issues w/ bugs or mosquitoes, used a light bug & mosquito repellant just to be safe. TV no remote but hardly even used it cause so many things to explore & do around. Good local food stalls around & very safe even late night.
