"Good price and useful for my short term job."
Very nice room . Good bed, ok bathroom, useful kitchette. Some view out the big window, but no balcony.
But only one elevator of 2 was working, and it was painfully slow and small. The one elevator covered 40 floors, so long waits at times ( i mean, really long at peak times). That was for sure a problem.
Some rooms are rented nightly, some are leased as apartments. So a mix of patrons. Similar in many hotels in Waikiki.
The pool was clean and rennovated, but uninspired landscaping. Stayed open until 10 pm which was nice.
Staff present were very nice and helpful but some were brand new and needed training. It was apparent some employees were given no training, not even walk around. One new guy asked ME where the valet parked the cars and where the laundry on site was.....
The valet parking desk is stationed under the Equus, another similar place, out in front of the Tower. Available 6 am to 10 pm only.....where do you park after 10 pm?
So overall, its tolerable if you can find things on your own, but overpriced for that. There is only one doorman, no front desk, no concierge, no bell hop, no info service. There is a number to call for instructions for your room key. There is a number to call for "hotel services" which I used for wake up calls.
