I was at an event in Basildon but due to the Chelmsford Festival Canvey Island was one of the nearest hotels available, The Hotel was reasonable but would have been hard to find without Satnav, the room was basic I do prefer ensuite normally, I would rate it good for the price.
A good location a few minutes from Saffron Walden and M11. Homely and spacious accommodation. Lovely cooked breakfast. Evening meals available for a variety of taste. Large portions cooked to your requirements. Nothing is too much trouble. Guide dog welcomed and he also enjoyed his stay.

Our hosts were very friendly and made us feel at home. Great breakfast conversations with fellow guests and enjoyed fresh baked bread, marmalade & boiled eggs. Lovely rooms and surroundings.
