"You get what you pay"
It was exactly what I expected. A safe place to store my luggage while I explored the city and a great nights sleep. Located close to the Dublin bus main head office it was convenient, clean and worth the 40€

"Cheap hotel in Dublin"
Half hotel, half hostel. It didn't feel like our belongings were safe when we left, but we didn't have any issues. You have to leave your key with the staff and when we returned we would ask for our key and it would be handed to us without anyone checking to make sure the room was ours. The keys were on a door and you could see every key hanging so I felt that anyone could just ask for our key and get into our room. Like I said, nothing happened, but it didn't feel as safe. We didn't partake in the breakfast so I can't attest to that. The hotel was not in the nicest area, mostly hostels surrounding it. It was close to a busy street and walking through Dublin was excellent. I wish we had stayed on the other side of town, but it was much more expensive and this was a short trip in which we didn't plan on doing anything at our hotel other than sleep. All in all, it was fine.

"Excellent location."
First, I arrived at the Dublin Ferry Port, and was pleased to discover that the bus that takes you into the city stops at the city bus station which is only about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Maybe the only thing that some people might not like is that there is no lift. And they had put me on the top (4th) floor. But since I generally prefer to use the stairs anyway and didn't have a terribly heavy roller bag, this wasn't a problem. I was a little worried about noise from the street or other rooms, but this was never a problem. I slept great there. Liked the coffee maker in the room and they always cleaned and resupplied the room while I was out during the day. The hotel is also located only a 5 minute walk from the light rail line, which takes you to Heuston Station. And the bus to the airport stops right in front of the hotel.

"Great Location"
The Kildare is housed in an older building and while the bathroom and rooms are a bit outdated, they are in great condition and everything works well. The room was very clean and comfortable and I was very happy with how close the hotel is to everything we wanted to see.

"Nice quick stay"
I arrived in the early afternoon and found the place easily. The receptionist was very welcoming. She showed me my room and how to operate the building entrance (which uses a code, not a key). Overall it was a good stay.

"Great place to stay"
We stayed for 4 nights in this charming, historic hotel and felt like guests at a friend's home. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. A warm, filling breakfast was served in the morning. On two mornings we started a tour before the breakfast hour and they provided a breakfast to go. Coffee and tea were available all day. Our room was on the top floor; there is no elevator so if that is a concern ask for a room on the first floor. It was quiet, clean, and quaint. We walked 15-20 minutes each day from the hotel to the city center but a city bus was available nearby if one preferred. We would definitely stay here again.

"Nothing special, but no issues either"
This hotel was in a good part of town, clean, offered breakfast, responsible and friendly 24 hr staff. We noticed that there was a little bit of a funky smell in the room and that the water tasted funny, but nothing to drive us away. The breakfast was good, the beds were clean, bathroom was clean and plenty of hot water.

"Decent hotel, great location."
It was my first time in Dublin, and only for 24hrs layover from London's business trip back home to NYC. Nothing special, but clean and for sure superior than 95% of London hotels. I guess London has the worst hotels in the world.
