The room was clean, comfortable and modern, compared to the common areas. The restaurant was good but too pricey to eat in more than once. I would have appreciated an area to buy snacks or an alternative more modest breakfast menu.
We were traveling with our dog and this hotel accepted pets. We were mostly interested in visiting the Frank Lloyd Wright house and studio in Oak Park so this was a convenient location. We did go downtown and it took about 35 minutes in the car. The breakfast was very good and the room was nice. Good location for walking my dog.

We spent 2 night in the extended stay america hotel.
The hotel is 30 minutes by car from downtown chicago, we used uber to move around the city; there is a shopping plaza (target, starbucks..) 15 minutes by walk from the hotel.. it was very quit;.
the receptionist Kimberly was very nice with us.
The room #401 was very clean. No complaints and I give very high praises to housekeeping. Problems lies with maintaining the room. Toilet water ran constantly to where I had to keep the door closed to avoid the noise. Also heard water from other rooms as they used the bathroom. The room air conditioner was noisy as well. It worked and kept the room cool but was noisy when coming on. I only stayed 2 days and didn't stay in the room very long so I just dealt with the noise.
stayed 3 times in last few weeks, they were having some staffing issues so our room was not ready on arrival once. (VERY helpful/nice front desk) You have to ask for every kitchen item - coffee pot given had not been washed. Next time, room was "ready", but NO a/c on (it was 90) and not even a single paper cup in the room. In all three cases the vinyl floor was sticky. It's just not super customer service at checkin (except first visit)
HOWEVER, the beds are very very comfortable, the location is great for our need, the expedia price was fair. The kind folks at Trader Joe's down the street gave me one paper coffee filter, and with their blend, good coffee was had. (DON"T even bother with the offered brand) SO, as long as you want a reasonable place to sleep, I think this is ok.... not great... but safe, and quiet, and easy on/off to hwy.
This motel needs a little TLC. The floors are well worn, but everything was clean. The gentleman that checked me in was nice but could have smiled a bit, he just might have been having a bad day. Even though this motel is older and a bit worn out, I would stay again.

It is about 30 minutes from Chicago downtown. What I really like of this hotel is the policy you have to agree before the check in which is including no party (quite hotel) and not allow to eat in public areas in the hotels but it is ok to eat inside your room.
We had the business suite since it has the extra room with sofa bed. The breakfast area is very small and not enough tables. If you are staying for few days, this hotel and the location is great. I am surprised the TV has only analog channels and not digital. We stayed 12 days during the Olymbic and I was not happy. Also, the room had smell of old carpet and furniture.
Overall, we liked it for the location and the price in this area.
