Hotel was clean rooms were spacious and had everything we required. Staff very pleasant. Some parts of the stairways were worn but can easily be remedied. Ideal for a weekend away and would definitely book again.

"Great hotel in quiet location"
So glad we stayed here. Quiet location with views over Newcastle on one side (superior rooms probably worth having as further from bar). We were in the newer building with view over Newcastle. Room very much like a Premier Inn although perhaps a bit smaller. Gigantic, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. We were going to go into Newcastle on the Saturday night but drove in (about 8 minutes) and drove out again, pleased to escape the traffic and crowds. Instead had a very good, very quiet meal in the stylish hotel restaurant. Good to be able to hear yourself speak - I'm not sure that would have been the case in Newcastle city centre. The food was European style (meat and veg or pasta) - not a huge menu but well cooked (only one option - pasta - for vegetarian main though). There seemed to be other options for eating just down the road - a pub and an Indian - but for smart dining the hotel restaurant would have been hard to beat. Might well stay here again if going to Newcastle.

"Very nice hotel in a good and convenient location"
I had a very enjoyable stay. I liked the hotel and its location. The food was great too. There was a big downside though - car parking is dismal. If you manage to get a slot in the hotel car park you'd better be stick insect thin to get in/out! My first night I had to resort to the Baltic car park and a mouth watering £20.40 for 15 hours parking. Beware!

"Lovely central hotel, gorgeous bathroom!"
Really great stay. It's a little noisy facing the crossroads with cars and ambulances but a lovely central location and good facilities. Bathroom design is cosy and everything was very clean.
