Expedia managed to extend our stay when we had late notice that our flight had been changed. Unfortunately this meant a smaller room. The room was comfortable despite this and adequate for our needs. The hotel reception and door staff were excellent. We did not eat in the hotel.
I booked a Grand Deluxe Double room via Expedia (using Trivago) and when I arrived at the hotel was given a Double Room with no bathtub. This was very disappointing as I paid for a Grand Deluxe room specifically because it had a bathtub. The hotel ended up giving me a King size room the next night but since we were three people (girls get away for milestone birthday) we had to share a bed and one slept on a pullout.
We have stayed here many times when visiting Chicago. The hotel is a good value if you get it at a lower rate. I would not pay top dollar compared to other hotel options offered at the same rate, same star categorie.
The hotel staff was excellent and the location is awesome. We walked everywhere and lots of shopping and resturants to choose from.
The room was ok, did show some wear and tear (had basic king size room). The bathroom was small with pedestal sink ( no room to put any of your toiletries) and hard to function in.
Check out near by self park garages and walk a block to hotel. We never pay hotel parking fees... Rediiculous. Payed 70.00 for 2 nights and was a 11/2 block away. Their are all kinds of apps you can use like spot hero.
Great downtown hotel. Pleasing staff, clean. A bit pricey, but we were there during a Cubs' playoff game (for a different reason). Our room was not ready (check in was at 3:00; we were there at 3:45) so we were moved to a lower floor. No big deal. Parking is a nightmare. Valet parking only for $62 per night. Parking is the biggest issue at this hotel. Otherwise, a great stay.
The Palomar is a lovely hotel in a good location. Spacious rooms. Quiet! It has nicely decorated with comfortable beds, good pillows, and a good shower.
The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. The Palomar is our new favorite hotel.
Magnificent Mile, a part of Michigan Avenue from the Chicago River to Oak Street, appeals to tourists because of its flashy department stores and fancy restaurants. Several of the Windy City’s architectural wonders are here, including the John Hancock Center and the Old Chicago Water Tower. Just north of the Chicago River, River North is home to the city’s shopping, design, and gallery districts.
