The location directly across from the Pyramids is great. The staff at the hotel was some of the best we have encountered in all of our travels. The hotel driver Gabriel was waiting for us at the airport and negotiated the Cairo traffic which is no small task. Upon check-in we discussed our length of stay in Egypt and what we wanted to see and were offered tour options that were priced excellent and met all of our requested. Our tour-guide Abdul was excellent not only was he well educated in Egyptology he was willing and able to answer all of our questions about both ancient and modern Egypt including cultural questions. The room we had was a pyramid view which was more than worth the slightly higher price. In addition to the view the room was clean and comfortable with an attached bath the air conditioner worked well (a must in Egypt during June.) Each morning we had breakfast on the rooftop looking directly onto the sphinx and pyramids the food was lovely and any and every request made was accommodated with a smile. We would not only recommend this hotel we will be coming back to Egypt and staying there again in the future.
"Hospitable. Welcoming. The Best Hotel Experience."
The hotel might be rated at just four stars, but it deservedly can be rated five stars because of the top customer service provided by the staff especially the hotel manger. Their utmost pleasure is to make sure you enjoy your stay at the hotel and our stay was enjoyed to the fullest, the staff were always wanting to go the extra mile to make sure we had everything we wanted and when things broke down they came straight away to fix it.
It's all about respecting them and they will respect you tenfold, a hotel experience that will all loved and I don't feel there will be another hotel I will stay at as long as I come to Cairo.
A hotel I recommend everyone to go to if coming to Cairo.
Imagine sitting on the balcony of your hotel room overlooking 3,000 year old pyramids amidst 19th century charm and elegance and you have described Mena House. The hotel is a short walk from the pyramids and sphinx. The rooms are very modern and well-appointed while the central core retains the 19th century charm of the original hotel. The staff are all exceptionally friendly and helpful. This is definitely the place to stay in Cairo!

A very nicely, presented hotel. Beautiful layout. Was a massive let down in regards to Internet, was advised there would be 'high speed' wired internet access in your rooms, the price they charged per day was absurb and the actual internet seemed non-existent. Few staff aren't very helpful and there was a certain communication barrier.
Wael, is a manger in one of the restaurants and is one of the best people I have met. Mohammed, who works in souvenir store within hotel is most welcoming too.
This hotel is well worth the price overall. Very close to Giza Pyramids and only 15 minutes away from Cairo.

But the house keeping and the laundry service there is very slow to respond .. The food in the room service is not that much great and the security service is a demanding desaster you'll hate going out and coming back in becuase every time they'll keep asking you for security check although they know you're a guest.. But overall the rooms are comfy the staff is nice and you'll like the hotel
Southwest of Cairo’s center, the town of Giza is the second largest suburb in the world. Located on the west bank of the Nile river, Giza is most famous for its ancient structures, including the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Great Sphinx. The el Haram area is known for its nightlife.
