I was only 5 minutes away from the Riggs Alumni Center of the University of Maryland. It was an excellent room. I have stayed in several hotels and this was absolutely the best. Should I need a room again for this purpose I will definitely attempt to reserve a room here again.

There's a lot more to this college town than the University of Maryland, and guests at our College Park hotel can enjoy …More
Looked for a hotel outside dc with a shuttle service to the subway and this was nicer than expected. We got maid service every night on our return from sightseeing. The motel is next to a freeway overpass so the scenery is not great, but it is the last stop on the Metro orange line.I paid in advance of our arrival and was told they needed a$100.00 room deposit on a credit card. They would not take the cash I had on me,or my prepaid visa card .It was declined when a previous purchase put a hold on the funds until the payment went through. The glaze on the tub was peeling and a few scuff marks on the cabinets on arrival were the only signs of wear and tear. The is an Ihop around the corner,Bojangles and Chipotle across the street within walking distance.
I come up to the area for my job once a month and I stay here every few months just because it's the closest place to my work site. The bed was ROCK HARD and I woke up with sore hips, shoulders, and back every morning. If you like that sort of thing then this is the perfect place for you. Otherwise everything else was just fine.....no real complaints. Jut make sure you ask for a room away from the vending and ice machines and the elevator. Those areas can be pretty noisy. The A/C was pretty noisy too....
As its name suggests, College Park is a college town. Many locals are affiliated with the University of Maryland, a colonial, red-brick campus set amid 1,250 acres of rolling greenery. Nearby, the College Park Aviation Museum operates on the grounds where Wilbur Wright taught military aviation. The National Archives’ local research facility contains Richard Nixon’s presidential materials.
