We stayed here in February and were very happy with the hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and attractive, and the pool was amazing. The pool is on top of the 16-floor building, fully enclosed and heated to almost bathwater temperature. It was nighttime when we swam, and the pool attendant asked if we wanted the lights dimmed and for our music preference. You can see the whole DC skyline from the pool and it was gorgeous. (In a city where there aren't very many tall buildings, the view is a big deal!) We also had room service. Everything was delicious and the presentation was great. My only complaint is the TV -- we had hoped to watch a movie by connecting the the HDMI port, but the TV didn't have one. We watched a movie on Showtime instead, so it was no biggie. There was at least one conference going on at the hotel, and there were plenty of travelers, but everything in the lobby seemed very orderly. The location is a short taxi/uber/bus ride from downtown DC or the metro, and walkable to the nearby Columbia Pike neighborhood, which has lots of good restaurants and bars. I will definitely stay here again!
The front staff Ester and Celeste were both professional and friendly. They provided detailed information about my room and told me about the complimentary breakfast. They even provided information about thing to do in the area, and taxi services. I appreciated the comfortable bed and room it was clean and everything worked for my needs. I appreciated the caring personalities of Ester and Celeste they are both amazing and truly care for the comfort of their guest.
I chose this hotel based on its location, which--at a mere block from a metro station and in the heart of Rosslyn--was exactly where I wanted to be in relation to all the downtown sights, without being too pricey.
When I arrived early in the morning with the intention of just dropping off my bags, I was lucky enough to be able to check in early! The room was very nice, and everything was clean, though I personally would have preferred more blanket options than just a sheet and a thin duvet.
I ate both in the restaurant and ordered room service, and the food was fine, though nothing to write home about.
The best part about the Hyatt Centric, aside from its location, was the staff. Everyone I encountered, from the front desk staff, to the bellhop, to the servers in the restaurant, to the room service waiters, to the cleaning staff was SO friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to be sure my stay was excellent.
Due to a snowstorm back home, we stayed an extra night & wanted to be in Crystal City, near my sons home. The room was lovely, comfortable & smelled so clean! We loved the shower & all of the signature products. Staff was cordial & helpful. Unfortunately, we are positive that my husband left his phone charger in the room & despite calling twice, we never heard back from anyone. I'm sure they were busy, but even a call back saying they at least looked for it would have been appreciated.
Fabulous stay. Lovely accommodations, very close to my meetings, only a couple blocks from the Ballston Metro. Side entrance off a lovely quiet "promenade", with small cafes and restaurants, although main side of building is on a rather busy road.
Upon my too early arrival, the staff was gracious and super helpful. She assured me I could leave my bags, tour the town and return to a confirmed room She even gave me the most specific instructions on catching the metro and how to arrive to my designations. When I returned later that evening, the next staff was just, if not more, gracious; he offered a winning smile and loads of advice before helping me with my bags. The staff was everything!
