Orlando
Orlando, the sunny buckle on Florida’s belt, is perpetually a top travel destination, attracting close to 43 million visitors a year. Set among natural lakes, verdant with cypress and thick woods, its winter climate is mild and the summers, oooh, they’re drenchingly hot and steamy.

Walt Disney World Resort
The four parks – the original Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom and Disney-MGM Studios – are continually impressive, but are only one ingredient here. Walt Disney World's sprawling acreage is a self-sustaining and incredibly tidy village that also includes impressive hotels, a few world-class restaurants, some non-souvenir shopping, a sports complex, water parks and a number of (fairly sanitised) nightlife options.
SeaWorld Orlando
The least ambitious of the ‘big three’, SeaWorld is still limited to just one actual park (a second, Discovery Cove, is a swim-with-dolphins experience limited to 1000 visitors a day). But a combination of ecologically-minded displays of marine life and plenty of beer (the park is owned by Anheuser-Busch) may be better than ambition. Getting splashed and sloshed might seem like a good idea, but the speed and ferocity of SeaWorld's excellent rollercoasters might warrant some reconsideration of that theory.
Hue
Located in the very hip (but very laid-back) Thornton Park neighborhood in downtown Orlando, the award-winning Hue provides the ultimate urban dining experience: a beautiful dining room filled with beautiful people and an extraordinary ‘progressive American’ menu that never seems to get tired. The contemporary bistro styling of the restaurant allows for outdoor seating, which is unbeatable on a cool spring evening.
