We liked this hotel
The accomodations of this hotel were very good and the cost was reasonable. This hotel is set up fpr families with kids and they had a seperate game room and other activities to give the kids something to do. Because of this some kids were running around in the halls but it was not that big of a deal to us but might be to someone not patient with kids. We got a good nights sleep in this hotel.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Bunratty Castle & grounds is near by and a nice attraction.

Good hotel let itself down
The hotel looked very impressive when we drove up. The staff were nothing short of excellent. The facilities were very good...but in need of some serious TLC. The crazy golf was unplayable due to a serious need of maintainance, the hotel corridors were Freezing (we stayed in August) One corridor was waterlogged from a leak in the roof. We had to change rooms because the shower didnt work. The bathroom was ok but a bit rusty, you didnt need a plug (stopper) for the bath, probably because the plumbing was so bad, (No Drainage) We stayed on the ground floor, the noise was terrible, but to be honest, expected. The ground floor is always noisy. But on the plus side, the staff went out of their way to accomodate us and the kids were kept entertained. The pool was also a little on the cold side. Overall...Id say this Hotel has the potential to be great. A few tins of paint and team of dedicated maintainance staff would really sort this place out.

Hotel is dated and would seriously need a good overhaul
This hotel may have been the place to go in its time but at present it would need a good overhaul. I would not go as far as saying it was filthy but it could have done with a good spring clean.(The floor was sticking under your feet and over all it was grubby) Butlins mosney came to mind as I entered the hotel at 11.00p.m on a Friday night with children everywhere. I attended a wedding on Saturday in the hotel which I must say was a most enjoyable day and the dinner was excellent. i would stay again if the hotel was refurbished. Obviously very family friendly judging by the amount of families booking in.
