Worst Experience Ever
This is not a 5 star resort!! 1st of all it isnt even in Alghero! Its a 10-15 minute drive into the town of Alghero and there isnt anything you can really walk to around this hotel. The 1st room they put us in had a dead roach in it and they told us it was natural but then moved us to a jr suite which would have been very nice if the air conditioner wasnt broken. Then they said theres only 1 room left and it was right of the lobby and so loud because there was a wedding that night, granted we were there for our honeymoon and wanted some privacy! The "private" balcony was shared with the main lobbys! It was terrible and the customer service was so rude! They totally mocked us when we complained and were so unbelievable. It wasnt a 5 star hotel or 5 star service by ANY means. Stay at a different 5 star which is actually in Alghero-its worth spending extra. Believe me!

Stunning views in a peaceful environment
Has all the features of a trendy 60s hotel design with adequate facilities and public spaces.Comfortable rooms with no frills ,stupendous mesmerising views of the bay from the balcony however rooms are not noise proof to modern standards Wonderful friendly service. We dined twice , menu mainly fish so limiting for carnivorous .Excellent local wines. Evenings are quiet most activities seem to come to a standstill by 10.30 pm.There is no sandy beach but the rocky beach is well equipped and quite charming, allowing easy access into the water, exhilarating for water snorklers. The Porte Conte area is isolated and very quiet which is its main charm. There is only one other restaurant which is adequate but doesnt serve lunch
Car transport mandatory . Alghero has a lively night life and excellent restaurants. Taxis can be expensive, buses unreliable and stop at 7pm.Lots of interesting sites nearby.Plenty of close by wide sandy beaches.

Should have stayed longer.
The location of the hotel is superb, on a promontary, so the sea is on two sides, with lovely views especially from the dining room. The unspoiled, green coastline, oleander lined roads and blue Med all made it so beautiful. There is shaded parking provided. The hotel food was delicious but expensive.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Our hire car was very worthwhile. There is a bus service into town, but the car gave us freedom to explore at will and dine out easily.
