Budget option
I chose this hotel for its value, close location to the city and facilities. Although the location was within walking distance to the city centre (20 minutes) and the room (economy) was equipped with a safe, fridge etc, the room was very basic and not that comfortable. The bed linen was old and frayed and there were marks on the wall. I must say however that the bathroom was very clean and modern. The breakfast room was lovely with a good selection of food (cereals, juices, cakes, croissants, eggs and sausages at weekend) and good coffee. The service at front desk was also very good and all the staff were very pleasant. This somewhat made up for the quality of the room. I am not very fussy when it comes to hotel rooms and still enjoyed my stay at the hotel but I would not stay here again. Perhaps the superior rooms are better but I think there are more hotels closer to the centre that I would choose over this one.

An excellent experience
We were very impressed with the Hotel Italia. This is partly because we were upgraded to a superior room, which was very roomy and contained a comfortable sofa. The buffet breakfast was good and they provided gluten-free crachers and cake for my coeliac husband. It is a 15-minute walk to the centre but it’s a direct and straightforward route.

really nice breakfast, clean, comfortable and big room for 3 persons. not so far from the central siena.
