excellent hotel
An excellent hotel with impeccable service. The food and service in the a la carte restaurant was superb.
Not suitable for children.

Beautiful setting outside of Funchal
Beautiful gardens, excellent buffet breakfast and lovely staff. The hotel had a courtesy bus which ran into Funchal several times a day with a limited service at the weekend. We hired a car to explore the island, good parking at the hotel. Without a car it would have been too far to walk to Funchal. Would certainly stay here again. Only criticism was there was tea or coffee making facilities in the room, so pack a kettle!

Very impressed
Very relaxing break and would definitely return and recommend to others. Accomodation, facilities and food excellent. To eat at hotel was expensive and is worthwhile to venture in to Funchal as many local restaurants which are worth a visit.
