nice central location
I needed access to Oval lIngatto and also the sightseeing in town. The staff speak english well (in spite of their protestations) and advised on tickets, busses, sights etc. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel taking you into town. The rooms are compact, clean and tidy. Street facing rooms can be a bit noisy at night. Breakfast was ample and staff are very attentive to any requests.
get a few phrases of italian, get the 24 hr travel cardwith museum access too. A tourist map is a necessity in my opinion. Make sure about where to find your bus back to the airport, trains werent running as per guide book and the bus was harder to find and took twice as long!

Great staff
The staff at this hotel were fantastic giving us detailed information about attractions, nightlife and even places to avoid!Turin was a bit of mixture-the river area is lovely while parts of the town are a bit scary! It was also very quiet and not much was open on Sundays and Mondays!the best places at night are the Piazza vittorio veneto or the area around the Piazza Repubblica!
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Theb Turin card was brilliant-you buy a card and it gives you free entry to almost every attraction in Turin as well as free travel around the city and discounts on other activites such as skiing! We got ours from the hotel but theyre also available from tourist information.
